Here is quite an excellent indicator XB4d ! I put it on a one minute chart and did not notice any repaint after the bar closed. I did notice if I changed the time period to 5m and then back to 1m, it did change... I imagine the same thing would happen it you restarted the Metatrader.

Can someone please confirm no repaint if setting aren't changed and Metatrader isn't restarted? Here it is:

By the way, a work around for indicators that change when time period is changed or Metatrader is restarted is to never change anything on that chart or restart the platform when live trading. This is made easier if you have a 24/7 VPS (which I don't).

Hello diesel

I tested your indicator m5 and m15, he really does not repaint.

I'll add it to my template

An EA based on this indicator, I think it would give great results.

It seems to me if it repaints (it depends on your definition of repaint, I guess) - I may be wrong. Take a look at the image attached. I have simulated (backtested) the indicator on the Metatrader's Strategy tester whereafter I have placed another copy of the XB4D on the same chart. One can clearly see that they differ. You must just remember that not all repainting indicators are useless if you use them with other confirming indicators for market entries and exits.

Hi,

xb4d = fx fisher = it could repaint b4 and after candle closed. I'm interested to know how to apply it correctly in our trading. Could anyone shade the lights.

and here is the fx fish indicator

fish already tried this some time ago, King of painting this indicator.

Yes u r right, XB4d is much better, it does not repaint drastically as fisher....

All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men/women to do nothing. Sharing is caring

when you execute the indi for the first time it shows nice signals in history.

Yes Silent Trader, I pointed this out in my very first post. It changes if you flash time frame back and forth or restart the Metatrader. Just don't do either of these and you will get the second of your charts (GOING FORWARD in real time). Not as good as the first chart but still a decent filter...

I did more tests, indicator shows a good historical, more to work with him live have the problems you mention.

I built an EA for this, and every time the EA calls the indicator, it "refreshes" each time and creates erratic results. It is exactly Fisher without the obvious repainting. It needs a filter, or just maybe the rest of the system programmed in.

would work great in trending markets, but in a choppy consolidating market the delay in entries can cost a trader dearly...by delay here...I mean ...if we donot refresh the charts and decide to take the entries based on the xb4d indicator...so beware..

However ..its also important to know that no indicator is perfect and can never serve all kinds of market conditions.
