TheBeast
Nice trades. Thanks for continuing to update your posts. Glad to see you have stepped away from the small time frames (M1 and M5). Not only is it better for you sanity (no need to monitor all the time) I think you'll find 'signals' are much more reliable on charts M15 and higher. IMHO... syk1kz
Nice trades. Thanks for continuing to update your posts. Glad to see you have stepped away from the small time frames (M1 and M5). Not only is it better for you sanity (no need to monitor all the time) I think you'll find 'signals' are much more reliable on charts M15 and higher. IMHO... Hey bud thanks for the comments i appreciate it. I would agree that moving to the higher TF was a must and the signals are indeed a lot more reliable. My sanity is important to me :) Hoping to have another good 2 weeks with this system then i am simply going to fund a new account the following week. I have tested this system for a while and know it is profitable but that was not using these customized indicators so i just want to get a proper feel for what the MTF indi is likely to be telling us before i go giving my money away. I am still on holidays and in lazy mode so i haven't even bothered with system 2 at this point. My goal in the end is to try and combine at least 2 of these systems together to provide more opportunities from the same chart. The only problem would be conflicting signals from each system which to be honest i have NEVER seen not even once. I have actually never even seen them signal together but i have seen one signal the same as the other well into the move meaning its lagging somewhat. Anyway system2 is based on PSAR with the same theory as the stochastics indi, MTF analysis using multiple PSAR's. Until i can be bothered i will just post these setups as i see them develop along with the chart showing SL/TP etc as usual. Nothing doing here, just watching the markets today might hit something later around london but its to early for my liking, Besides bottom stoch isn't in OB/OS which i don't really like at all http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/6969/audnzd.gif Edited December 27, 2010 by syk1kz
syk1kz
This is a much nicer looking entry, some clear divergence on the MTF while stoch still in OB/OS, this is what i have been looking for recently. But i do not like the fact that it is likely to close the gap then reverse, And i am staying out until closer to EU http://img821.imageshack.us/img821/4204/nzdusdz.gif
syk1kz
Worth watching http://img401.imageshack.us/img401/7977/eurnzd.gif valid signal here, but it was before i was ready to trade. IT looks a bit 50/50 this one had you of taken it http://img808.imageshack.us/img808/4404/usdjpy.gif

Ill give this a miss Would still be playing out but there was a little move in favor of the expected direction before stalling http://img30.imageshack.us/img30/9672/usdjpyt.gif Looks like its going to keep moving higher http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/7977/eurnzd.gif Still scanning though

syk1kz
took these, lets see how we go, EC stoch was already out of OB so i was a bit late, but it was range bound http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/5107/eurchf.gif http://img80.imageshack.us/img80/5927/eurjpyf.gif

syk1kz
going to start getting extra picky with the markets being this thin and taking a double hit already. Only 60pips but its 60pips i want to recover since i lost them. Rather than forcing positions like i probably would of done here i have decided for now unless the bottom or normal stoch is in OB/OS i am simply not trading period. So as attractive as this looked at the time there was no OB here so i let it go, im wondering if its about to power higher now actually http://img831.imageshack.us/img831/2195/audjpy.gif I am willing to get subjective with the lack of divergence here though. I want a clear reversal though http://img823.imageshack.us/img823/7348/eurusdh.gif http://img130.imageshack.us/img130/1164/eurusd2g.gif Edited December 28, 2010 by syk1kz
syk1kz
just noticed i had the wrong template loaded on the wrong time frame for the above post, look at the MTF stochastic settings for the above then the time frame, its using the M15 template. http://img638.imageshack.us/img638/9568/eurusd3.gif

syk1kz
taken out of EURAUD since i moved my stop manually heading off to bed after another quiet day. -60pips for the week still stands. 1 winner and we are back to break even so im ok with that. Trade safe not often especially during these thin times guys

syk1kz
stopped out EURNZD closed EURGBP for -15pips or so, about -70 for the week, nothing major, but i am going to wait until more volume and liquidity is around, these thin times are hard to trade for the best traders let alone a noob like me
syk1kz
heres a few trades i placed earlier 2 worked out one appears to be doing nothing. I took some other i was stopped out of earlier such as AUDNZD GBPCHF GBPCAD which added to the weekly total loss the 3 tottalled another -120pips taking the weekly hit to -190 so far. http://img522.imageshack.us/img522/9210/gbpaude.gif http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/9795/gbpusdf.gif http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/8756/audchfm.gif i do have other trade open both winners and loosers totalling about 300pips currently but since some were not based on this stochastic system i don't see it fair to include them within any win/loss stats at this point. I am currently trailing this system on the daily time frame to try and minimize my pc time. This will also enable huge risk:reward positions rather than a standard 1:2 To be fair and honest here if you draw fibs on GBPUSD you will see it has just bounced from the 61.8% so this added to my short assumption along with the slightly subjective entry, remember to use what works for you rather than what works for some random guy posting in a thread. syk1kz
Hi guys and gals, Firstly let me just say that even though i have only been using the daily system for less than a week i have already pulled in well over 500pips this week alone, with 200 just today. +200 for today is no better than what the M30 template was providing but at least we KNOW we are looking at the bigger picture. I am going to update the system with a newer template for the daily time frame early next year [ less than 7hrs until NY for me ]. Included within this update is going to be an additional indicator i would of found on some forum, i cant remember but maybe some of you will recognize it. Anyway the main differences between the current M30 and daily time frame are just that, the time frames we trade and where we get our average value from. I don't know why i was married to lower time frames considering i do ALL my analysis on the daily TF and 240min i really cannot see why M30 was so attractive. My only guess is i wanted more trading opportunities. I have edited the MTF indicator slightly to show more info in the stoch description which is evident in the below SS. You could always make the daily template yourself since the required info is highlighted in the square, nothing else has changed apart from the addition of 1 indicator which should be obvious when you compare yesterdays charts to todays and the TP/SL which i am currently using 100SL 400TP and considering adding in trailing step at nothing less than 200pips. Current account providing stats in post #1 link has been updated to reflect DTF trades rather than M30 and lower. http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/4614/eurjpysq.gif http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/9472/captureivx.jpg Any thoughts or suggestions are welcomed.
