3) in Tradestation 2000i : VIEW data window...export chart...and the file txt is this (1 minute chart):

"Date","Time","O","H","L","C","U","D",""

10/19/2011,1000,3.426,3.434,3.424,3.430,0,0,0.00

10/19/2011,1001,3.432,3.436,3.424,3.424,0,0,0.00

10/19/2011,1002,3.428,3.428,3.420,3.420,0,0,0.00

10/19/2011,1003,3.416,3.424,3.414,3.416,0,0,0.00

10/19/2011,1004,3.414,3.420,3.412,3.418,0,0,0.00

10/19/2011,1005,3.418,3.424,3.416,3.424,0,0,0.00

10/19/2011,1006,3.426,3.428,3.422,3.428,0,0,0.00

10/19/2011,1007,3.428,3.430,3.426,3.430,0,0,0.00

10/19/2011,1008,3.430,3.430,3.426,3.426,0,0,0.00

10/19/2011,1009,3.430,3.434,3.428,3.432,0,0,0.00

10/19/2011,1010,3.432,3.434,3.430,3.430,0,0,0.00

10/19/2011,1011,3.430,3.430,3.426,3.430,0,0,0.00

10/19/2011,1012,3.426,3.430,3.424,3.424,0,0,0.00

so there is comma...not spaces

In DT6 in PORTFOLIO MANAGER I create a new portfolio and indicate the chart foulder..than I indicate the ASCII DATA FILE SETUP:

1 data 2 time 3 open 4 high 5 low 6 close volume 0 open interest 0

extension TXT

date format dd/mm/yy

time format hh:mm

price display format 0.000

skip 0 delimiter comma

If I put the ascii setup that appears in SIXER'S image, chart doesn't open..and doesn't open also with my ascii setup...WHY???

Thank's a lot in advance...

goffredomameli,

if you use the xpo intraday format, you must choose "spaces" in delimiter not comma as you did.

The data format you have shown in post #28 is not the xpo format (Tradestation).

Your date is: mm/dd/yyyy, the time is: hhmm, delimiter: comma

You must do the ASCII setup based on this intraday format.

I am very ******...you are right..but why when I export data through VIEW data window the file format is like the example txt I posted and not XPO?

How can I do to export data in XPO format?

Now I adjust ASCII setup with your explanation but chart appears full of vertical lines....may be is due to price scale...but I don't know..the stock price is 3.426 so I put 0.000 in "price display format" window...

thank's another time..

Hi Sixer and other interesting with....

I have data being downloaded on my PC during mkt hrs from my datavendor. Now i want to access that from another PC which is in network.

Does exist softwares that exchange data from pc1 to pc2?

My datavendor and metaserver 1 are located on pc1 and Metaserver 2 on pc2...

In this way I could run metastock rt on pc1 and tradestation-dynamic trader on pc2.

Thank's in advance
