Gunner 24 ( Full Package - Software + Ebooks )

Recommended Posts

bradcraig2010,

Sounds like you and I are in the same boat. I am using Vista x64 Home edition and have not been able to get it to work, and I have tried everything I can think of (see my previous posts).

The only thing I haven't tried is to create a virtual PC using XP as the OS, install Gunner24 on it, but in order to use it, I would have to also install my main trading platform on the same Virtual PC.

Currently, my main platform is Ninjatrader v7 with Zenfire, which I use as a discretionary trading platform (no indicators). But it does not allow forcasting past the current bar, so I am testing the new Multicharts Discretionary (freeware) platform with Zenfire.

In short, my plan is to install both Gunner24 and Multicharts Discretionary on the same virtual PC using XP. If that doesn't work, maybe some kind soul out there has a more efficient solution.

I wish I could help out but I have to admit that fib arcs and fans are still over my head. The package itself is complex to me. I will stay focused on fib retracements and extensions, Pin bars, engulfing candles, pullbacks to s/r. The is a couple of nice threads on Fib Arcs @ FF, very instructive about price and time. But I do think that running with a virual OS should do the trick for you rcarlos1947. That is the only way to get around the x64 that I know of.

As far as overlaying Gunner onto mt4, it is just like it states in the tutorial. Once you have it in the Start Menu and have your chart up just click on the icon in the tray and start at the lowest or highest bar when early volume levels start to peak and move the cursor to the high or low of the first impulse. Getting the first impulse correct is key. It's in the tutorial, it has been a couple of months since I've read it and used Gunner so " " me on this.

Wades-World,

Thank you for taking the time to respond to our dilema and the additional insight.

You were correct. I installed the VMware VMPlayer (Freeware) and created my virtual XP PC. I was surprised at how painless the install was.

I installed Gunner24 and the Multicharts Discretionary (freeware) on the VPC and they both worked perfectly.

The only reason I did not want to give up on Gunner24 was that the setup method (1st impulse) is also used by Michael Jenkins in his videos to find the true angles, fan lines, and of course arcs. This will give me a tool that exploits that theory.

I found the math interesting in this article. Can someone make a spreadsheet for this?

While I would not presume how Haytham arrived at May 22, one method

would be to use angle intersections of price converted to time.

Instead of drawing angles, calculate them mathmatically.

Meaningful angle intersections I've found to pinpoint [hint] trend

changes are 68, 55, "45", 34, "21", 13, 8, 5, 3. Each intersection

is reduced to a multiplier using the following.

[45 degree intersection example]:

TAN(45*PI()/180)= Tangent (answer is 1)

Tangent * 2 = P [cuts price in half] (answer is 2)

1/P = .5 [Price Multiplier] (answer is .5)

Using the above, calculate the "Price Multiplier" for each of the

listed angles. [Hint: they are constants and somewhat easily

memorized] ie. 45 degree multiplier is .5 (now and forever)

[further hint, next turn is generally @ the next angle intersection

in time and can be calculated in your head fairly easily, hint, hint]

Check your math . . . 34 = .74128

Now measure last high to low of NDX:

12/06/02 = 1735

05/07/02 = 1142

1735 - 1142 = 593

593/10 = 59.3

multiply this by each of your Angle Intersection Price multipliers

computed above and you will get the following:

55 degree intersection in price = 20.76

"45" degree intersection in price = 29.65

34 degree intersection in price = 43.96

"21" degree intersection in price = 77.24

etc.

price of 29.65 converts to 29:39 or 1,779 minutes

1779 / 390 = 4.56 trading days

assuming 5/07 bottom, 45 degree pivot should occur on 5/13

21 degree pivot, 77.24 coverts to 4,634 minutes or 11.88 days

5/07 + 11.88 days points to a pivot in the final hour of 5/22. [could

also be 5/23 depending on if you count 5/07 as 1 on not.

Now calculate the probable next turn @ the 13 degree intersection of

time.

7705.80 minutes or 19.75 days or predict pivot in the late afternoon

Wed. June 4th or 5th, 2002. Depending on whether you start count on

the original pivot day.

The above works wonderful [for me] in all time frames. Simple spread

sheet once you get it set up.

Just one idea for ya.

Well Folks,

After all the girations to get Gunner24 Full Pkg to work, slightly disappointed.

Running Vista x64, added the VMware player virtual PC, Gunner24 Full, and Multicharts Discretionary, the results were as follows:

1) Gunner24 runs, I can create an overlay, and apply the basic G24 arcs/fans/squares

2) After every bar completes, my Multicharts moves 1 bar to the left, but gunner stays fixed

3) This means I have to keep chasing the bars as they complete to adjust G24

4) Tried the Snap Mode of G24, but all I get is the G24 Logo, no instructions on how to use it

5)Whenever I minimize/maximize the G24 window, it takes an error and closes

6) The drop down menu that lets you send to background/fore ground is not available (grayed out)

7) The virtual pc arrangement consumes too many resources on my trading computer

In summary, G24 is much to clunky for my use in daytrading.

Because I like the concept, I took off G24 and worked with the basic MC chart to look at the built-in Fib Fans and Gann Square.

Much to my surprise, I could practically duplicate the G24 display.

Attached are the MC chart using G24 and the MC version without G24.

Of course don't have the double arcs, but not sure I really need them.

This should let Me work Multicharts in Vista x64 and get rid of the Virtual PC.

wades-world,

Thank You.

Interesting calculations.

Can you point us to the article that provides additional info ?

http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/gannsghost/

Quite a bit of archived information; back to 2000. This article is around June 4th or 5th, 2002. The group is easy to become a member of and if you are a Gann Fan then I would recommend it. Here is a Gann Wheel that I got from there. Alot of other stuff in my mediafire share file too. Help yourself.

Wades-world,

Thank you for your generous sharing and guidance.

I have recently become interested in Gann, which is why I wanted to determine if Gunner24 would add value.

I am also evaluating other packages (Wave59, Jenkins, etc) and looking to use the pieces that work for my daytrading futures, and kludge together a method that works.

Good Luck to all on the Gunner24 venture.
