I´ve been testing GFR and GRU the last months. GFR shows fantastic results on forward testing with following settings (M15):

cek=2000

Hour_Start_Trade=21 (GMT+1)

Hour_Stop_Trade=0

StopLoss=20.00000000

TakeProfit=4.00000000

MaxSpread=5.00000000

Used broker is FigFx, has 1 fixed spread, but is bucketing, so won´t be achieved in real. Therefore I want to use a reliable ECN broker and needs to be made ECN-compatible. I gave it a try but doesn´t work properly. See this:

Here's my "educated" version of GFP...

- I've read through the mq4-code and removed all unused code, and made it more readable.

- I added some informative text for the Expert property - Input

- I changed MagicNumber to an external so it now can be changed from the Input

- I removed some strange code that was intended for specific magic numbers

- I've tested it with Strategy Tester - USDCAD M15 with different settings. I strongly suggest to use a high value of the "cek" variable and to set SL and TP low. I tried $10,000 demo on Alpari (UK) with cek = 5000, starthour = 22, stophour = 2, SL = 5, TP = 6, MaxSpread = 3 with good result.

 

Please note, that the starthour and stophour is broker time, and must be adjusted according to which time your broker is using.

 

Interesting EA, but I would not dare to use this EA on a live account though.

Here's an updated version with optimized settings for USDCAD. I've added Lot-size setting instead of the weird "cek", and tested it in Alpari UK demo in order to obtain a stable growth with as low relative drawdown and as high profit factor as possible. This EA shows a 70% profiitable trades.
