Re: 100pips per day ea

Hi ekilibrium,

The first EA you posted will appear to work great in ranging markets, however as soon as it places a trade on the wrong side of a trend there's account blowing potential because it only uses trailing stops. If price never gets anywhere near the target the stop remains unset whilst your losses accumulate.

The second EA appears to have several checks missing in the code which means that it won't run as you would expect from all the parameter settings. For example, from what I can see you can't run it with time periods set to "false" and expect it to run all the time. This EA however is less risky because it allows input of stops in addition to trailing stops, though I've not checked to see if these are working.

Both EA's appear to be designed for 4 digit brokers only, so if you want to test them on 5 digit brokers, you need to change the targets and stops by multiplying the pip value by 10.

The EA triggers are very simple and use the 5M SMAs:

Buy is triggered if Close < 7 SMA

Sell is triggered if Close > 6 SMA

I've seen that consistent results have been reported by some using the EA, however if they're using the "uneducated" EA, they must be entering their own stops, or enduring massive drawdowns.

Re: 100pips per day ea

I am getting very confused here.

First you post an EA (that is freely available as I stated above).

Then you post the "educated" version of the EA which now appears to have different logic. Note that this is just a different version, also very freely available.

Now you ask us to "educate" the version in the first post...?

What exactly do you want done?

And have you read all the posts about this EA on the TSD forum...?

@-)

I am lost here.

Thanks for the kudos...much appreciated!

Re: 100pips per day ea

Sigh, here we go again:

This EA is PUBLIC DOMAIN. The EA is NOT restricted in anyway.

What "education" are you looking for...?

#property copyright "Copyright © 2005, MetaQuotes Software Corp."
#property link "http://www.metaquotes.net"

More info about it in the TSD thread. There was and is no restriction.

Thanks for the kudos...much appreciated!
