Collect best indicators divided in categories

I am thinking will be usefull to classify best indicators in categories.

I have tried a lot of EAs, but now I think is better manual trading, so I'm looking for best indicators. The problem comes here.

I can find a lot of indicators in forums, but I cannot test all.

If we share our experience with our best indicators, we could improve our strategy.

I think that RIGHT indicator CAN make difference.

So my idea is to create one thread for one category of indicators. Every one can post own best indicator for that category.

 

Example of category could be:

Support - Resistence indicators

Bollinger bands indicators

MTF - Multitime Frame indicators etc.

Breakout indicators

Correlation indicators

Trend indicator

Trendline indicator

Candlestick pattern indicators

Fibonacci indicators

Gann indicators

etc.

Sounds like a good idea. I would gladly contribute some indicators once you start these threads. I think you should have people mentioning the name of the indicator, the parameters and also attaching the actual indicator. Also would be nice to hear how they use it and in what context and if they use it in combination with other indicators which ones... \m/

It's a good idea fundamentally. However, imho, it would be quite vague. We need to give more definition of it. let me give you an example.

 

Consider the cobra trading system that uses Moving Average. It uses the MA for:

- trend indicator: if the SMA 72 up, then the trend is up and only trade based on the SMA

- bands indicator: it uses SMA 72 high and SMA 72 low as the bands

- Breakout indicator: it uses EMA 12 breakout as trading trigger signal

- Support & resistance indicator: the EMA 12 low/high is used as S&R for trailing stop.

 

So, where would we put moving average based on cobra system?

William, You could put them in their respective category and describe how they can be used in that way. :-bd

MAs have multiple uses. Crossing MAs for entry signals for example or a moving S/R.

So I like the indicator system has been use by the runner-up from one of competion trading.

Very2 simple rules:

 

only trade at EUR/USD (H1)

 

BUY Setups:

1.Price must be above the gann Hi Lo Ativator.

2.Green BOLD Snake Force has been appears

3.Next Candle open (next hour) open Buy position.

4.Put TakeProfit @ 20 pips away.

5.Put StopLoss 85 pips.

6.If Price move away under Gann Hi Lo Activator Close the position what ever profit or loss.

 

SELL Setup:

 

Opposite BUY Setup.
