How to Import MT4 Data into Advanced GET 9.1

1) Please load “AGData.mq4” this into MT4 Chart. You will see “AgetData” on the left top in the chart.

Please put it inside Expert Folder/Indicators

 

Kindly help me with the above instructions. I tried many times and not able to load it.

 

Here is what i have done so far:

 

1) I copied theis AGData.mq4 to the experts -->Indicators--> folder.

 

2) what next? here is where I am stuck...please help.

I have installed "MT4Data.mq4" and it works fine .....

Hi everyone,

 

Here is the indicator I use to convert MT4 data to Elwave, Advanced GET, Wave59 not sure if it works for MTPredictor, etc. Sorry Chankl, but I think Elwave is better than Advanced GET in regards it gives you up-to-date analysis. Advanced GET is still good though, counts the waves pretty accurate.

After trying hard for many days, I was finally able to get advanced get working. However, I have the following questions:

 

1) what is the difference between MT4Data.ex4, MT4Data.mq4 and AGData.mq4/AGData.ex4?

 

I tried using the MT4Data first but didn't work. But later I tried AGData which worked.

 

But I would like to know.

 

2) Does any body get the Y axis i.e. the price on the charts? I am not getting any price.

I trade mostly E/U, but have traded A/U, U/J, E/U, and gold.

I was until recently trading off of 5 min charts, but now using 1 min, moves a lot faster, sometimes faster. But to get big picture and better profits long tf are better, but you have to stay with small lot sizes, if your account is small.

 

3) Can you give us all the link to download Elwave? And also instructions as to how to ge the data working etc.

I am new to this data thing. I used to subscribe to Esignal real time. Now since I don't do active traidng just getting delayed data for $25 a month.

 

4) If i am subscribing to E-signal data, would you know if there is a way for me to use Advanced Get using E-signals data? If the answer is yes, let us know how.

 

It would be helpful if you can provide us with step-by-step instruction or a video showing how you got your Elwave working (from cracking it to connecting data etc.). My experience is that XP Pro is pretty much the only OS. Vista and windows 7 are not compatible with these. Is that the case with you? I am thinking of getting an old XP just for running all this Advanced Get, Elwave etc.

 

I don't use esignal, just use data feed from MT4 to adget and elwave. For me it would be best to set up a teamviwer session. Yes XP pro works best. Vista is worst software MS made, don't know too much about windows 7. Also I did manage to get Trade Station installed on VmWare (Virtual PC software), but it was real pain getting it set up and haven't really learned how to use it.

 

I'm just now starting to realize that the market moves in a way that you have to respect. I have noted that not always, but most of the time, trends start during London session. NY session can have huge movements due to news, hedge funds trading, etc. NY afternoons tend to quite down and Asian session usually is quiet, but can really move if there is Yen or Aussie news. Also during Asian, almost 90% of the time, market ranges.

 

Fib levels, s/r levels, high/low all play very key elements in how markets react.

 

Sorry for long post, but I believe if we use proper money mgmt, stop loss, and don't overtrade, you can be profitable if you set your mind to it.

..guys, elwave 9.1 takes real time feeddata via metatrader, and advanced eod via global server, quoteroom , owndata and tradestation 2000i....my god... i have an headache...all this files i get from this wonderful site...now...elwave is profi style ..so i think much better...

Thank you very much for taking your time and responding to all my quesitons. I too agree that the London Open session is the best for trading currencies. I have tried to day trade spot curriencies but I found out that it was very difficult to get the executions. I mean, I seldom get the price what I see on the charts. What is your experience? So now I am beginnning to think only swing trading using either a 1 hour candle or a 4 hour candle would work best.

 

1) How do you calculate stop loss? On averaage, how many pips stop loss do you set?

 

 

2) Which broker do you use for forex trading?

Charts and Analysis

 

All,

 

Can every one start posting charts and some analysis? This way, all of us can learn from each other.

 

Also, I am struggling to determine an ideal stop loss. Charts look good etc. but I have come to realize that I would need a really large stop loss if I want to swing trade curriencies with either a 1 hour or a 4 hour bar. Is my thinking correct?

 

Also, It would be good if every one can post a weekly pips gained or lost. This way all of the strategies can be optimized. I am sure every one will have their own opinions and each individuals brain works differently.
