Mostly the big cycle is around max 1100 pips and small cycle around 300 pips and mediam cycle like today is around 500 pips. During it way up, the small wave down normally is around 150 pips or 200 pips. http://goodies4.mt4live.com/ The trail EA is just closed all trades in aroudn 504 pips profits, it does better job than me to watch the profits. What the EA does is, like the EquityMoneytrail.mq4 extern double EquityTakeProfit_Dollars = 800; //close all the trades when the profits reached 800 dollars. extern double EquityStopLoss_Dollars = 100.0; //stoploss, close all the trades when the profits reached -100 USD drawdown. extern double EquityTrigger_Dollars = 200.0; //trail start /triggered at when the profits reached 200 USD. extern double EquityTrail_Dollars = 100; //trailstep is 100USD per step. My profits was 303 at the moment I put the EA on, now all the trades are closed when the equity reached 643 and backdown to 543 to the trailed stop, so I hade 543 pips profits for this operation. right now, no positions. http://goodies4.mt4live.com is a real cents account at liteforex.org was started 2009-09-14, started from balance 1446 USDcents. (it was a badly damaged account by testing all kind of stuffs). I have total 4066 USDCents there now less than one month. As the index is doing a bottening process and turn the trend to upper. the index is in the initial phase of upptrend. so if you have buy position, one can just hold it until it turn profits. Me too, also need to train myself on better exit. normally, a small wave need 24 hours to develope. by the way, if you use the equitymoney trail EA, and let it do the job for you, so you won't get out too early. TP=1000 for big wave TP=500 for small wave. SL=1000, in order not to get stoploss out. trigger= 100, trailstep=100, if you are using the 0.1 lots. trailstep can also put to 300, if you want to have bigger profits for the entry. But the blue line in the picture above also talk about the index "may" revisit the previous bottom, so this two scenariot canceled each other. when uncertainty, hold. no positions. Like my buy operation last night, was up o 500+ pips this morning, now it is down to 255 pips. So I made the Equity trail EA based on steinitz Equity trail robot. If I hade this Ea, I shall stopout on at least 400 pips profits. finimej, thank you for re-introducing the concept to the forum. This EA certainly will help as these medium term trades take time to mature. I came on board late, so got into the long trade near the top, but still managed 200pips profit. If I had used this EA, it could have added another 100 pipsto the long. Here's a link to a wave count .ex4 from IBFX that you can download. I've placed it on a EURJPY chart to give me a clue to a possible wave count on the indicator. http://www.ibfx.com/tools/waves/default.aspx It doesn't replace counting the waves yourself if you know what you're doing (which I don't). There's simply no program out there that can give you THE correct wave count (not even the expensive systems like Elliottician and AdvancedGet from what I've read). I think that one is best just grab the basic of the wave counting and count by yourself. I have checked the wave indicator, it does not count the wave in the way I agree. All my reasoning text is in the picture. The SP500, Dow Jones is near it resistant level, and CompQ is at it resistant level. VIX was upp to 29 and down to 23 again in friday. so I think we will have a period for congestion, or consolidation area. There is no sharp turn, but a shift of sentimental is in processing. So my not so bullish mind affect my guessing for the comming weeks. There is no direct connection between the forex 14 pairs index here and the major stockindex. However, the major stockindex such as SP500 does affect the sentimental, and sentimental affect the forex 14 pairs index. This just my TA chart analysis. You are welcome to contra with your chart.
