I aiming for consistence result and working hard on achieving it. However, there are time when I get poor result due to off-focus of my strategy and fatigue in waiting for good setup, plus my own pressure to show result. I get bored and loss focus and feel like giving up this game. yet, I know that trading is boring. Therefore, I like to know how any existing forex guru/expert or full timer solve the fatigue or boredom with trading. ^:)^

saronian
Re: How to prevent fatigure or boredom when trading Trading forex doesn't mean you should always in front of your computer all the night and day or should open trades hourly or daily. If you realize and understand it you might be prevented from fatigue and boring. The key is you must find any proper trading set up then leave it and enjoy the rest of your time. noplan88
Re: How to prevent fatigure or boredom when trading Trading is just as boring as always if the price doesn't seems to move, don't wait for the trades all the time as you will get bored and feel dying, plan your strategy, don't enter when the time is not right, avoid news time 30 mins before and after. I recommend you pick top and bottom, once you acquired this skills, trading is just as breeze, less than 30 mins a day you can make money easily. It doesn't requires you to chase for the pips, instead the pips will come to you.

wl11y
Re: How to prevent fatigure or boredom when trading Hi, To lessen such things, the attitude is important because, mostly, we experience them mentally so whatever the result, just let it go :D There are times that we can get profits and there times that we can't. ;)

JoeCocker
Re: How to prevent fatigure or boredom when trading Hi Folks, here is what I do: 1) as others mentioned: get the machine do the boring work, setup indicators and alike for preparation work once they ring a bell be alerted and fresh in mind to assess the situation 2) I have put in my trading room a nice eliptotrainer and do from time to time workout 3) make sure that as a beginner you don't overwork yourself and stick to fixed timings. Also I fell into the trap to use the weekend to gather new ideas, backtest different approaches etc. Make sure you take the weekend as relaxing time! So far my 3 cents to the topic. hotkisa
Re: How to prevent fatigure or boredom when trading Treat it as a business. Come to work at the same time each day. Take a lunch each day and leave work at the same time each day. Do this even though your "workplace" is onle a few feet away from the couch at your home. If you don't so this you will surely burn out in no time flat. Yes it is OK to sometimes put in some "overtime". But remember, this is a job, not your life. IMHO.... This is the advice I need to take. I find myself at my PC for long hours, trading, studying, researching, backtesting. I must also take the above advice, and take weekends off. Bredman
Re: How to prevent fatigure or boredom when trading I have to agree with JoeCocker. Exercise is key. A friend of mine used to have a heavy bag and bowflew type machine in his office and could do a few reps or hit the bag between calls. genbii
Re: How to prevent fatigure or boredom when trading dont' take more than 3 hour to trade, Human have emotion, after 3 hour you will feel tired , worry, boring etc. and its dangerous since it will affect your trading decisions. Better do autotrading using Expert Advisor with Metatrader.

hellfire1988
Re: How to prevent fatigure or boredom when trading That's a real problem. The more you look at the open trade, the more anxious you become, hence the more tendancy to make mistakes by closing the trade at an inapporiate time. Best thing is set your s/l and t/p and just stay away from the screen for at least 3-4h

Best thing is set your s/l and t/p and just stay away from the screen for at least 3-4h but for the case stock trading, in my house broker there's no s/l and t/p facility. so i still have to keep manual monitoring the fluctuation in case the price hit the point i want and order an execution. till this moment i'm still watch running trade nonstop from to close every session

docdan4x
Re: How to prevent fatigure or boredom when trading As some said above: Treat Trading as a buisiness. Choose a strategy to trade and take a certain time per day, like a normal day job. Then enjoy your life. Another important part, what helped me a lot, i trade with a friend so we can split the trading hours. And we can speak during the boring time, sometimes by messenger, sometimes by phone, but talking about the trading helped me a lot against the boredom. huanghau
Re: How to prevent fatigure or boredom when trading In my experience visualization has helped my focus on the market better. Every morning i wake up, eat and before i look at my charts i close my eyes and imagine the way i trade and run myself mentally through 10 successful and 2 unsuccessful trades and see myself acting the way i want to act when my stops are hit and take profit when i know i should. After i finish running those scenarios in my mind i begin my daily trading and for 15 hours (max) im trying to get those 10 successful trades and avoid the 2 bad ones. Ones my daily % is hit, I close my charts and go do something productive. Just my 2cent.s are u can keep up with that rule bro, for me it seems hard when u success all of the trade especially in no time u might feel that u're superior and when that feeling arise sometime gredy will come and the result is break the rule and overtrading
