As for fapturbo...I have been using this with good success lately. I use version 16 which I posted the uneducated version and someone kindly educated on USDCAD and EURCHF. I have paid for it but V16 is much better.

Today's trades. As mentioned in previous posts GBP/USD went crazy.I closed it manualy on live account (not soon enough though) and it hit SL on demo account. Still in small profit overall. Soon I'll start demo trading at ATC brokers so we can compare MDPRO results between TDFX and true ECN broker.

further to my previous posts i have now put mdproee_bbr v07 on a live account, alpari uk classic...(old fapturbo account :( )...with nine currencies leaving out usdcad..i just feel a little unsure of it...can anyone suggest a 'safe' trading time for usdcad?

 

All settings are as previously posted the start date for md pro is 14th sept

Todays trades on TDFX demo +115pips, but more importantly something strange happened on my live account. While demo was trading Ok (see bellow) I got this massage on ea info panel on live chart "trying to connect to broker..." and EA didn't make a single trade. When I restarted MT4 it imediately opened trade (at 1.30am???) and it was a looser (close it manualy at -7pips, but it would hit 60pip SL if I let it run). Do you think broker is playing trix on me?

I don’t know what happened in your particular case but I know from my own experience that TDFX is not a broker you can trust.

 

I had FapTurbo and Megadroid running live at the same time on three different platforms TadawulFX, MIG and AlpariUK. During that time, about two months, TadawulFX was consistently loosing money while both, MIG and AlpariUK, were making money. I have analyzed the losses on my TadawulFX account and have found an unbelievable amount of requotes which have consistently forced my two EAs into losses. I complained about that to TadawulFX and described my findings in detail. My complaints were completely ignored and I had to close my account with TadawulFX.

 

I have traded with six different MT4 brokers and can say that TadawulFX was the worst by far.

Basically, huge 9 pip slippage on entry doomed this trade for me. No attempt by the EA to close; difference between the way trades are filled (live ECN vs. demo) is why I took the hit. No issues with the EA or with the data feed. Bottom line - I should have caught the discrepancy and exited manually.... You snooze, you lose.

jade seems to cop a lot of slippage. they claim good spreads, but people i know who've traded with them have seen massive slippage, causing their spread to become MUCH more expensive then the regular brokers.

Just a word of caution: keep your success stories in this forum and for God´s sake, don´t brag about it to everbody and his brother´s uncle about it! We already have 6000 members as it is, so if 40000 are using MDP like FAP, it will be rendered just as useless in 6 months. Just enjoy and keep quiet about it in the real world outside.

 

Only about 100 people downloaded MDPro XEv1.2 when I had it up. I really don't think we have anything to worry about. :-bd

 

Actually, I've been testing XEv1.2 further, and I still can't find any problems with it. I guess it's OK.

Absolutely correct. Your order goes out as a market order and is filled at the best price available.

 

This is the first time I have had the slippage at JadeFX nail me; prior to this it has cut a little bit both ways. Interesting too that the trade did not show up in either my journal or my experts log?!? Hmmmm.... The only place to find the trade details was the MT4 history window pane itself.

 

I'm trying to figure out if I would have gotten the same fill at TheCollectiveFX, which has a similar setup but recently switched liquidity providers and is opening again to new clients for a short period of time. Was anyone running MDPro live at TheCollectiveFX yesterday?

I'm wondering if you may have provided an answer to a question I didn't ask yet. I have a Jade live account, and did not get a single trade today. Normally MDP trades Tues, Wed, and Thursdays.

 

I normally get at least 5 or 6 trades a day with Jade. The only thing special about my MDP settings is that I have maximum slippage set to 3 and maximum spread also set to 3.

 

It seems that those people who have slippage or spread set to 4 or more are getting the trades, but, they get more losing trades also. I am curious what your slippage and spread settings are?

My settings are slippage set to 3 and the spread is set to 0 or the spread default setting. Obviously my slippage via ECN execution was much more than 3 last night, so I'm not sure this setting means much of anything under STP trading conditions.

Thanks for posting your setting. I've previously been running close to default on live account with reasonable results but last month or so very few trades so last night I changed to these settings with reduced stake.

 

This morning I find two trades closed for tiny profit (USDCAD & EURUSD) but two trades are still open (EURGBP & EURUSD), both significantly negative which is worrying. I've never seen trades remain open over 9 hours since they were started. Can't see me sticking with these settings unless I can figure out that I've made a mistake somewhere.

Yep, the EURGBP is having a bad day... again.

 

I have one such trade in recovery mode and I'm not happy about. Having said that I'm expecting it to come back into profit... but the majority of times that trades stay open into the European open, they hit stop loss eventually. I think this is currently a record for the longest open trade from megadroid that I've seen. I haven't seen one breakeven after hitting the european open yet....

Yep, same here. That was a really cheap thing for Megadroid pro to do, because it would have hit breakeven eventually if it had just left it alone until then X-(

EA is probably set to trade 12 hours top. EURGBP trade was literally 12 h 0 min.
