Afaik it does not trade on end of the months (29-31)

That's a great result. Typically, one pair all by itself will only make roughly $250 at 0.1 a month - and here you are, with that many pairs scoring half that much in 2 days! The next few years will be exciting!

Hacker, why two stats are different? Old MD should trade exactly the same as Pro for EURUSD.

well guess im not for sure.. Im not at my office right now and cant check the settings.. I know they are both FXDD demo. So the feed should be the same.. They are runnin on 2 different spare laptops..

I am also on fxdd my mdpro stats match yours exactly. I am also live trading usdcad, usdchf, eurchf and eurgbp. Interestingly the usdcad does very well almost as good as as the eurusd but the other pairs just pick up a few pips here and there but no losses yet. However the gbpusd did not go well in demo at all, stopped out twice last week. I just started demoing usdjpy and eurjpy and will post results next week

You should backtest and forward test with your broker data to see if you can make money from it.

I just found another bug in the original code.

 

bbrain, please confirm this:

 

In s1_direction() function:

 

if (gi_832 == 0 || gi_828 == 0) return (0);

 

I think it shoud be if (gi_832 == 0 && gi_828 == 0) return (0);

 

This will affect the trades if you load the EA just before its trading hours, then you can not get enough bars to calculate. It 's complicated to understand that part of code thogh.

I think it shoud be if (gi_832 == 0 && gi_828 == 0) return (0);

 

This will affect the trades if you load the EA just before its trading hours, then you can not get enough bars to calculate. It 's complicated to understand that part of code thogh.

You know this is a wierd section of code.. IF you have a valid uptrend or downtrend trigger, then the ea flows ok..

 

But if you have dropped out of a valid up or down trend into no valid trigger/trend then the EA waits an hour before it looks for another trade.. Does that make sense or am I readin the code wrong..

 

This is the line I'm talkin about..

 

if (gi_816 == 1) gi_824 = gi_564 + 3600.0 * gd_392;

 

gi_816 is the return from the procedure mike99 brought up.. But I think the code you brought up is correct the way it stands.. If the procedure returns a zero then the ea doesnt wait an hour to look for the next trend.. It looks during the next tick which is what you want..

 

hey bbrain.. take a look at this section and see what you think.. Ive always wondered why MD doesnt trade more often when I can see a vaild trend while looking at the chart..

 

I think I'm going to replace the 3600 with a external variable and see if it will trade more often during the open trade window.. Or change the hidden variable gd_392 to external and try something like 0.5 for a setting. That would make it wait 30 minutes for next trade.. See what happens..

 

Or you know what?? After lookin at it again I'm gonna see what happin if I comment out this line... If it does what I think,, hold onto your hat...
