sorry for my bad English.

I have no this kind of problem. I have tried it with the built-in gridsystem example. It found the metatrader/experts directory then placed the mq4 file there and compiled it to mx4. No errors were occured.

I have got a Vista Ultimate system, 4 GB RAM, AMD 6000+ CPU etc. I don't know what causes the crash in your case.

Maybe there is a conflict with another software? (antiviruses, antispyware sw used to complain when a new file is being created without their permissions)

Not crash yet. I tried this software and in my opinion it's easy but i have some problems with buy/sell conditions, maybe my kind of logic it's different or this visual builder does not have enough for my basis. I don't know. :)

bamik, VTS needs MT4 to build the EAs. Make sure there isn't a problem with your MT4.

I tried that first and unfortunately it still did not work. XP Mode is a virtual machine running within Virtual PC and is free. See the link below to find out if it will run with your CPU and to download and install.
