lots should be 0.1 not 0 than you will get it properly if you don't know whether or not you got it right back test it to check. Good luck.

Having trouble getting trades.

 

AlpariUK demo (5digits)

and

FXOpen live (4 digits)

 

Running for two weeks no trades.

On the code it seems it can run both 4 and 5 digits, not ECN though.

 

Is anyone having trades with it or do I have a damaged version?

Does anybody elses backtest only work from jan1 09 to oct 09? after that it just goes dead on mine on every broker ive tried it on, but it trades very well from jan 09 to oct 09. is it a curve fit? or just trading conditions arent met the last 4 months?

never mind answered my own question its not curved fit yae, you just need to decompily it and change the time line to be greater than 10.27.2009, i changed mine to 2015 lol. it works great in the past year!

Please, could someone say very explicitly how to set this EA in order to make it work for the backtest? i have many demo accounts and i can not make it work in any of them, so any settings you can show it will be fine... i just need to know what did you guys put for "MinLot", "Lots" and "LotsPercent", all together. I saw separately advices but we never the whole picture. I tried all possible combination, i also changed the data restriction from the educated EA...but still not able to backtest. Please, help!

No bug But you need to decompile to mq4 file.

find this line

if (Time[0] > D'27.10.2009 19:00') return (0);

change year to future 2020.

Hello Pal, i did this before... Can you tell me if you are able to backtest it? Also, is this EA working for you in your demo or whatever type of account? I installed it since yesterday, but no trades. I know i have to wait, but also considering i can't backtest, I just want to be sure all settings are good.

Hi toteng200, Yes I can backtest it. May be try my set Minlot 0.1 Lots 1 lotsPercent 0.5 that work for me.

And now i forward test on my demo acc Ea don't trade so much i wait for my first order i find this Ea today.

I figured out what was wrong with mine... when I decompiled I put the future year 2059. I didn't know I was supposed to put exactly year 2020 :-). Thanks to Pal, now it's working. Edited June 24, 2010 by totemg2000
