can someone tell me the best way to trade it?

 

and what the improvements are in 4.7?

 

Guys, found somewhere on the Internet. Consider no serious improvement made, but few options added to allow more flexibility/functionality

 

-------For old clients: What's new in version 47?--------

 

- This is the whole new version with all the features included. The core algorithm was not changed!

- StartSessionMinute and EndSessionMinute were added in the scalper as requested by our clients.

- Default Scalper_EURGBP_StopLoss was changed to 35 instead of 112.

- Scalper_ReverseTrade was added. If you set ReverseTrade = 1 then fapturbo will open a trade opposite to its normal

signal. That is needed for people who believe that fapturbo opens in a wrong direction

NOT recommended for beginners.

- Scalper_TradeMonday was added - you can set to false if you hate Mondays.

- FapTurbo_MaxOrders in long term strategy was changed to 1 from 2 to avoid hedging.

- Parameters with a name FapTurbo_Hedging were renamed to FapTurbo_AlterPositions to avoid misunderstanding. This parameter has nothing to do with hedging because Fapturbo does not normally hedge.

- Long Term strategy can be applied for any time frame now, not only on M1 as you requested.

- Scalper_UseAutoGMToffset and Scalper_ManualGMToffset were added in scalper.

- Few minor bugs were fixed.

- The Guide was reworked and edited personally by DonnaForex!

- The license was extended to 2009.09.13

 

Question: Does Fapturbo comply with the no-hedging NFA rule?

 

YES! Fapturbo does not hedge on the scalping strategy at all. On the long term strategy it does not hedge if you use default MaxOrders=1.

I started on demo the version which bro Liu posted. Haven't changed its reg number - it is 012345. It says on my screen "licensed till 2009.09.13".

 

I haven't backgtested it yet and so far used only default settings, except of lot size - I put 0,01 lot on demo account of 400 greenbacks, I turned off its MM and AutoGMT and typed GMT offset settings manually.

 

So far this night results of FAP47 on M15 Timeframe (EURCHF,USDCAD,EURGBP) and M1 EURUSD are as below for Alpari NZ Ltd:

:D Hi All I use scalp setting as is but eurusd M1 take profit = 20 for some good results because as EA set to only 1 trade fap misses trades if a trade is still open --ENJOY--- :arrow:

Well, higher TP means trades would have lower rate to be closed at profit..

 

Below are my results on Turbo mode. It was initially not profiting and now it has some profit (+4,46).

Roels Major what is your time setting for fap and thunder?

 

Thunder ajdusted time automaticly

For Faps i use GMT+2.......or you can set it automatic on setting for faps 47

my GMT offset is +3 but when I put +1 instead I get much better results on the scalper (EURGBP,EURCHF), check it out. ;)

 

Yeah, could be. Strategy tester shows the same on Mega.

I believe this is due to better closing time (dark night) when market sleeps well in countries of traded currency pairs.

But I tried this trick with Mega and me Mega still opens trade irrespectively on GMT settings - I put one Mega with GMT+2 for Alpari NZ and another with GMT+1, and third one evend with GMT+3 - on the same broker, but results are the same.

 

Trades were opened and closed at exactly the same time with all those GMTs.

Yeah, yeah, I've done that "False" setting on Auto prior to my tests on demo. Isn't that kind of newbie which is not reading settings or manuals and then asking "why?"))

 

Results were all the same, I tell you again.

It just trades the same trades with diff GMT settings on diff demos with same broker (time and price of trade is the same irrespectively of GMT setting).

Do you guys adjust the GMTOffset for daylight savings time? It may be better not to, since I think there was no adjustment for daylight savings time in the code.

 

i.e., if there was no daylight savings adjustment during the development and optimization of the EA, then you shouldn't go and do any adjustment in forward testing or live trading, otherwise you are trading a slightly different and untested/unoptimized strategy.

 

If you want the EA to automatically adjust for daylight savings time (either for backtesting/optimization or live trading), I wrote this code to put into the EA:

   BrokerGMTOffset = GmtOffsetNonDaylightSavings;

   if(AdjustForDaylightSavings)
     switch(Month())
     {
       case 3:

Now all we need is the decompiled version of the latest version of the EA to test whether it's better to adjust for daylight savings or not, so please post it here!

i'm a coder and fapturbo is one of the best eas i've seen bevore, from the coding side,

even i take code parts for my eas from the fapturbo, because the guy who write the ea knows what he's doing ^:)^

 

the normal strategy is not so good that right, but scalping over long term is profitable

i use only scalping and only for the Pairs EURCHF (best) and EURGBP, both live

I found a lot of website promote their aff. link with bonus an "advance or expert setting" for fapturbo.

I've found that if you set scalper onetrade to 1 on all but eur/gbp it will only take the first trade on the other pairs which are generally the best performing trade the ea will make, trades less but trades into bigger winners or tiny losses
