Bug fixes:

- The trailing stop code would interfere with trades on other pairs.

- The InitialTarget exit wasn't working for shorts, only for longs.

- Fixed spread inclusion in trailing logic for shorts -- still not 100% sure

it's correct though...

 

Now that Alpari provides downloadable MT4 1M data back to June 2004, I

decided to backtest trailing on the current tick instead of previous bar. I

had originally moved to closed bars only in order to be able to rely fully

on backtests on 15M, even though MT3 backtests indicated lower profit on

closed bars.

I was surprised to see worse results, but figured I'd release this version

anyway in case it's better for other feeds. I may also reoptimize, to see if

closed bars really is better. Unless you have 1M or at least 5M data for

your feed to cover your 15M data, stick with the closed-bars-only version if

you want to be able to trust the backtests.

 

The new version is included in the zip as TrendScalper_TR_openbarstrail.mq4,

along with backtests for both versions in latestbacktests.zip. Note that

TrendScalper_TR was optimized on 2005 Jan-Sept data only and this is the

first backtest on MT4 data for 2004, so it's clear the settings aren't just a curve fit.
