The above is my is my Jade Demo running with QuickSilver version.

EU & GU = 19 to 24hrs, EG = 19 to 21hrs, EChf = 20 to 24hrs, Max Trades = 2, Risk = 25%

Seems like EU & GU is trying to give bad first impression that it cannot be trade after 23hrs.....

The above is Jade Live only EChf. Risk is 50%, Max trades = 2, time is from 20 to 24 hrs, Quicksilver version.

For my forexcom UK Live, I still have that 2 open trades running V4 which I post sometimes back. I feel forexcom is filtering data. But anyway, it is a good start.

Re: DRAGONPIPS

Quiksilver,

Hi, I think there is some calculation errors in the Auto GMT.

My jadefx is 7 or -7 GMT in the auto calculation (Sorry cannot remember got - sign or not. But it is confirm a 7).

But my jadefx is only +1. So i change it to a manual GMT.

Also, is there a way to put in a blue rectangle box on the chart on the start & end hour we trade? (Just asking but if can do it, it will be nice)

Thanks.

oasisfans screenshot show that auto GMT offset is working.

Are you sure that you set windows time zone correctly ?

Anyone else has problems with auto GMT offset ?

If works ok for you let me know too.

Re: DRAGONPIPS

One did, the other hung in there (around 10 pips away from opening price) for around 24 hours (over night) but closed out to loss due to that huge spike

But, I am not concerned, you can see in backtesting it will lose from time to time but overall stays quite profitable. I had my live account today this week alone go from $5300 to $5960 but now back to $1490 due to that spike

If the spike had gone one pip less, it would not have closed out for a loss as it came back and would have closed another profitable trade and I would be up to around $6200 by now. Oh well, thats trading for you

Time to build this up again

Re: DRAGONPIPS

I know my risk is high but backtesting continues to show high profits and until I start to lose more than what I started with for the previous week I will keep this up

My live account over 14 weeks has averaged 19.6% per week, so happy with this

As I make more will start to tune down the risk, if i start to go backwards will also tune down risk and try to work out why and make the necessary changes

whatever the risk is, it wont make you win more trades, if your losing consistantly then the EA needs to be reviewed, so far though 110% happy with Dragonpips for 2009 with EURCHF, maybe next year a different pair will exceed EURCHF in performance and different hours traded also as the market continues to change

Re: DRAGONPIPS

Ran this last night and had some interesting results:

These first two are set to trade only 1 level, from 19-23 GMT at 0.1 lot size. The 1 level limit seems more profitable in backtests. I would be interested to hear what people think about this - it seems you are only exposing yourself to more risk with more levels, and would be better off increasing your lot size with 1 level than exposing yourself to two stop-loss hits with 2 levels. Thoughts?

TheCollectiveFX (live) - GMT +1:

Sell 20:57 (Closed 22:05) Open Price: 1.51476 Close Price: 1.51476 Profit: $0.00

Buy 22:34 (Closed 00:25) Open Price: 1.51472 Close Price: 1.51114 Profit: -$35.11

GoMarkets (live) - GMT +2:

Sell 21:51 (Closed 00:20) Open Price: 1.51466 Close Price: 1.51445 Profit: $2.35

Sell 00:50 (Closed 01:23) Open Price: 1.51439 Close Price: 1.51414 Profit: $2.78

TheCollective FX (demo) - GMT +1 (2 levels):

Sell 22:04 (Closed 00:24) Open Price: 1.51450 Close Price: 1.51202 Profit: -$24.34

Sell 22:04 (Closed 00:24) Open Price: 1.51452 Close Price: 1.51174 Profit: -$27.29

Sell 23:59 (Closed 22:05) Open Price: 1.51454 Close Price: 1.51424 Profit: $2.93

Sell 00:00 (Closed 22:05) Open Price: 1.51464 Close Price: 1.51434 Profit: $2.93

The differences between these is quite perplexing.. :/

Re: DRAGONPIPS

- Optimized trade execution code to ECN/STP Brokers. (for standard Brokers set ECN_STP = false)

If I want to use your version on standard broker's (FXDD) platform, should I set "ECN_STP = false" and leave everything else at default?

What do I do with "Extreme Edition" parameters: ATR_Threshold: 20; Slippage: 1? Do I leave the parameters as they are, 20 & 1? FYI, FXDD's spread for EURCHF is normally 4.

Re: DRAGONPIPS

For backtests use GMTOffset_for_Backtests.

Try with differents time ranges starting with 2 hours a day. (ex. 18-20, 19-21, 20-22, 21-23, 22-24, .... etc.).

Different Broker price feed got different results.

I've been trying to backtest with a fixed lot size (1 standard lot) on FXDD micro account (dime a pip), but the EA would enter 0.01 or 0.02 lot instead of 1 standard lot. My settings for the relevant parts are as follows:

Lots: 1

LotsOptimized: false

Lot Decimal: 2

MaxTrades: 3

Could you please tell me what to do? By the way, everything else works perfectly OK!
