corrupt05
Re: DRAGONPIPS You put the EA on 2 differents charts on the same pair ? X_X If you don't and you need only 1 trade at a time, set MaxTrades = 1 Is it not possible to run mutiple instances at once in metatrader? do you have to run multiple installations of metatrader?? I was doing demo 4 diff settings across 4 seperate windows with the same currency...and it seemed like it wasnt functioning right.. anyone can verify this? cadoo
Re: DRAGONPIPS so not multiple instances of the same currency in 1 mt platform? You can run multiple charts of the same currency in 1 mt platform, just make you use a different magic number so they don't interfere with each other. Quiksilver
Re: DRAGONPIPS If I want to use your version on standard broker's (FXDD) platform, should I set "ECN_STP = false" and leave everything else at default? What do I do with "Extreme Edition" parameters: ATR_Threshold: 20; Slippage: 1? Do I leave the parameters as they are, 20 & 1? FYI, FXDD's spread for EURCHF is normally 4. Yes, ECN_STP = false. Quiksilver
Re: DRAGONPIPS I've been trying to backtest with a fixed lot size (1 standard lot) on FXDD micro account (dime a pip), but the EA would enter 0.01 or 0.02 lot instead of 1 standard lot. My settings for the relevant parts are as follows: Lots: 1 LotsOptimized: false Lot Decimal: 2 MaxTrades: 3 Could you please tell me what to do? By the way, everything else works perfectly OK! I did not touch Money Management logic. It's true. Fixed lot size is not working correctly. Anyways, this EA works better using MM, therefore, you just reduce risk setting at your acceptable level and all going fine. Quote Don't study roots while others pick up the fruits. Mindsphere
Re: DRAGONPIPS Come on... =)) I agree, that's quite impossible. However I am having issues with manually setting lotsizes with your modded version (have not tried with the original). Have you experiened this Quiksilver? Thanks for your hard work btw :) Edit: Oh just noticed your post in response to that. Fair enough. Maybe I'll look into it tomorrow! I did have an issue when backtesting on USD/JPY however, even when using MM.

But suddenly back to life....... Do not know what really happened in market... Now, it is 20pips away from my stop loss... hopefully, it will clear before my official trading time for Echf...... DragonTrader
Re: DRAGONPIPS Hi guys... I meet very strange and quite scary condition on my Dragonpips demo account It used to open only 4-6 lot... but suddenly it opens very big size... it opens twice 15.4 lot and hit the stop loss-it wipes out almost 60-70% of my account in those 2 losing trades. I experience it at 3 demo accounts: at Alpari(NZ), Forex.com and FX Clearing. The only survivor is at Tadawul demo. But in real account that trades was not opened at mini lot, only at micro lot account that open the losing trade and hit SL. I still use v3 july 2009 and the older one - not yet trying QuickSilver's mods. Do you guys experience the same thing? Is it because of bugs or anything else? However I really thank God that my real account not opening that trades - but quite scared that one day will if this happened becoz of bugs... Thanks
Mindsphere
Re: DRAGONPIPS I've only been using QuikSilver's mod, but I am concerned about the way it calculates lotsizes. I think the logic needs to be modified. I've modified it presently to a manual lotsize setting, but the best solution will be to fix the risk % logic. Iceman777
Re: DRAGONPIPS Can you show us Mindsphere how you got it to use manual lot size setting? and I dont mean use the 1 decimal, but have you got it to where you can type 1.3 lots for exmaple and it will only use that?
