Past 23 GMT, trades hit SL very often. Relative safe time is 19-23 GMT. Try inside of this time range and reduce it if necesary. Quote Don't study roots while others pick up the fruits. Iceman777
Re: DRAGONPIPS Here are my last two weeks live trading with Dragonpips GoMarkets broker, trading 21-24 max trades 2 risk 50%, using V3 universal, only EURCHF pair http://www.4shared.com/file/133966388/3599eefa/Dragonpips.html I have been trading DP for over 12 weeks now, taken my live account from $487 to $5300 Can't post full statement as I have been using other EA's and manually trading but 80% of this profit has come from Dragonpips The biggest reason I have found to my success with Dragonpips is only using EURCHF and manually trying to overcome the timed stop loss protection in DP. Let me explain For example, after a few hours DP will exit the trade if it gets to around -1 or -2 pips. Every time I have seen this I have noticed not long after the trade would have hit its original TP (5-6 pips). Remember I am only using EURCHF as this is a very rangey pair So what I need to do is wait about an hour or two and if the trade is still open, I deactivate Dragonpips to stop this happening and let it hit TP or I close it manually when it hits 3-6 pips in profit If someone can code V3 universal or any other updated version to either allow the user to disable the timed order protection or set the timed stop loss to hit 0 pips (breakeven) not -1 or -2 pips this would really help this EA to be even more profitable Due to Dragonpips using large lot sizes losing 1 or 2 pips vs breakeven can really make the difference
Iceman777
Re: DRAGONPIPS Update - I have found in the code where it places the timed stop loss based on the open trade duration and am testing some settings now When I have something that backtests well I will post
chankl78
Re: DRAGONPIPS Great Iceman777, Thanks for your help. Here is the version 4 & Extreme II From what I know, the creators had put in the symbol() to solve the bugs where it open wrong symbol trades & also the open & closing of trades immediately. Hope it will works well in jade. hxxp://www.mediafire.com/?zr1oje4mzul So far the best time is from 20 to 24hrs using Jadefx demo. For the pairs EU, Echf, EG. Still finding the best time for GChf. If anyone can help to backtest, it will be good. If anyone can help to modify dragonpips to iceman777, it will be better. Also there is an error on the MaxOrder = 1 or 3 or 5... It cannot open trades as it always say Send Order Error 130 (SOmething like that) Please help on that. Thanks.
Iceman777
Re: DRAGONPIPS Thanks Chankl78 for posting these latest Dragonpips versions I have found the setting to disable the time protection in the code in the versions you have posted today Please download and enjoy!! you will find it backtests more profitable having the time protection off, but again I would only trade EURCHF and maybe EURGBP if your spreads are low enough, all other pairs are too volatile in the long term http://www.4shared.com/file/134009759/c5b2824d/Dragonpips.html

Can you gave us some previews like what is the bugs you have solve & what is the mods you have done? Thanks. Note: All bugs that was repaired, are present in all the original versions and in all the mods that I could see, too. Therefore, don't use other versions along with this one in the same account. - Bug where, under certain circumstances, it open & close trades within seconds. (FIXED) - Bug where, under certain circumstances, it open trades without SL value. (FIXED) - Bug when MaxTrades = 1 the EA don't open trades. (FIXED) - Optimized trade execution code to ECN/STP Brokers. (for standard Brokers set ECN_STP = false) - Added Error Control module on open and close trades logic. - Added Alert module option. - Added Auto GMT Offset detection. And Manual GMT Offset option, too. Auto GMT Offset detection module use Windows API's to calculations, therefore you must set correctly time zone on Windows properties. (For backtests use GMTOffset_for_Backtests) - Added external options to allow Protection Levels optimization on "Time to close" and "pips to close" for close trades. And optimized "pips to close" value to allow use fractional pips on 5-digits brokers. If "pips to close" value is negative (ex. -1.0, -3.5, etc.), it close trades on loss and if value is positive (ex. 1, 2.3, etc.) it close trades on profits. If you use "pips to close" value = 0 it close trades on breakeven. - added external option to disable Time Protection Levels code for close trades. - added external option to change Magic Number to avoid Broker detection. Please, let me test on live for a couple of days. Stay tuned. 8-) Quote Don't study roots while others pick up the fruits.
