If you target only the high volatility times then you minimize the waiting time. Always look for an entry 15 minutes before London open or NY open, watch what happened during the current session and decide.

one hour before london open and 2 hours after london open same as ny time and wait for retracthment, somethimes during less than 15 minutes and came back later on after 3 hours

depends What time frame

when I use 15 min charts- 1-2 hrs

When I use 1Hr chatrs- 4- 8 hrs

When I use 4Hr charts - 1-3 days

better watch and sit at the sideline, then 2 quick.

 

but mostly not more then an hour ,

 

further preset orders for breakouts in the morning

if you trade in a longer timeframe, the amount of time will be less than trading in a short time frame

I am using the daily t/f, so I do not spent much time looking for a signal on the chart.
