I've looked at a lot of those and the quality (for a more complex strategy) is really just not that good compared to something you can pay someone to do (I would suggest a Ninja Consultant). I have paid for their framework and I was in no way unimpressed--it is well worth it if you have a somewhat complex system. When you can get overfilled, underfilled, or jumped over in the market, especially fast ones, the free stuff doesn't seem to handle non standard situations all that well and if you plan to use real money with your strategy just pay for it once and then use the framework for your less complicated systems going forward. JD the question is how do we do that. I am willing to chip in if someone wants to hire a programmer to create a good template.

What happens in these types of jobs is that the algorithm to enter/exit the market becomes a very small piece of the project. The rest is a LOT of infrastructure code which needs to be super robust to cover many, many kinds of errors occurring in real-time markets. The good news is that infrastructure tends to be highly reusable and I think you're best off finding someone who already has that major piece already coded and rock solid from prior jobs and all he/she has to do is plug in your entry/exit rules on top of their existing code base. The added plus is you'll get a quick turnaround. You're paying for 2 parts: how many hours it took to code up your entry/exit rules plus a base cost for using his/her real-time trading infrastructure code.

@ lbf.....there are lots of strategies at BMT that we can use as template as you suggested. These have input variables, order size, 1st, 2nd and 3rd targets, variables to trade different time zones etc.....I think we do need to create one for this purpose.

I am new to futures and usually did stocks and options in the past for investing. Now learn to do day trading. I agree with everyone here but I still think there is value in learning order flow and market profile. these give you lot of information about the price and bar as compare to indicators on chart which are lagging. Now my questions is, can anyone suggest how I can go about learning theses ??? thanks in advance.. Lulu.

there is a navi store somewhere not sure what the location is :).

that is why they invented the search- just work a little and you will find everything you need.

not everything needs to be served on a silver spoon...

i like them both- the navi bars smooth the bars - no matter which bars you use- even sym renko look much better with navi bars on top.

the navi trend will give you a signal- the way it does that is by using a keltner channel and it will only signal if it got a move AFTER touching the keltner which is good- it will filter some entries-signals that did not go far enough BEFORE signaling.

i highly recommend everyone to use both navi but not as a method to enter- only as a confirmation for the method you are using and

kind of enhancement.

Friday was a good example to see how dangerous is using the scalper as a black box and entering at every signal.

Looking at the 1-1 renko you can see that the market was going down while the scalper was signaling four longs that hardly fared anything and if you have waited for the renko 2-1 to enter you would have lost on each one of them.

The last long around 10:10 was a good one.

Same happened on the way up where the first 3 signals were losers and the 4th one was a winner.

What i am trying to say is that you cannot just use this tool as the main signal, use it only as a supportive tool for signals from other sources.

The renko 2-1 only had 3 signals and amazingly they were all located very close to the 78 fib so once i got a navi signal - i took it down the the 38 fib.

It is indicator like other on Price always touch thoese channels and comes back. This is not bollenger band. I like to know what is it thou ??? Sniper also give good signals...but please try and share your experience.
