  1. Hi Elishar,

I try to trade both swing and short term. I am not a major trend trader, I try to find one to three week moves, like Markets often exhibit after periods of consolidation....easier said than done :). Most of my time is spent looking for swing trades which meet my developed over the years criteria. I usually will not get involved in short term or day trading unless I found a few swing trades which I am in, that's why I don't get a chance to day-trade most days.

I do trade ES on occasion, I do prefer the other three ( YM, NQ, and RTY ). Even though all of these are stock index futures of course, and on balance will go in the same direction, on real short term basis - often one of these will show us something before the others will, and it can add up to a "real" difference on the bottom line.

The rule of thumb is that Markets which least used in arbitrage, kind of purer ones, are easier to trade, especially for beginning traders than heavily arbitraged ones. My personal opinion is that this should not be the most important criteria when one selects Market(s) to trade, but with all else being equal - it does make a difference.

In swing or long term trading, Market selection is not very important, just like Jane said - over time all Markets will behave similarly, and most of them will respect Fibonacci ratios with sometimes mind blowing accuracy. But in short term or day trading - Market selection is incredibly important on individual basis. There is a lot to be said about how Market rhythm, sort of heart beat, swing size and time - match or mismatch our individual internal rhythms'

    Best,

    Hi Simon,

it seems you found a good way to make some profit from market.

Wish you all the best for the future.

    Take care

  2. Hi Jane,

Thanks for the post. Actually I had a little different experience over the years by watching other traders. I know quite a few traders who had problems with some Markets including E-mini, but have done very well trading other Markets. You know what they say - don't trade the Market you like.....trade one that likes you :). Of course liquidity is always a big consideration when one chooses Market to trade, but since most retailers trade one to three lots - any Futures market will be plenty liquid.

    Hi Simon,

    which markets are you trading?

  3. I see we have some really great traders here on board. Congratulations!

I want to start a discussion here:

May some of those highly profitable traders can tell how they generate those profits?

I mean which methods are you using. Maybe there is even a special software involved you are using.

No need to tell those last 10% making these methods profitable if you don't want to. Myself and probably a lot of other people are really interested.

    THANK YOU! :)

  4. Hey,

im looking for a kind of trade copier or i saw some kinds of indicators that you load into Ninjatrader and then an expert advisor in Metatrader and all trades in Ninjatrader gets executed in Mt4?

Someone has such tools to copy the trades?

Would really really be nice of you to share it!

Go to post #11 in this Thread: http://indo-investasi.com/showthread.php/25727-Bridge-Ninjatrader-to-mt4/page2?highlight=bridge

There you find what you are looking for.

  5. Hi,

I have had 7.31 working for a while without any issues. However, over the last few days, whenever I start the NT, I do not get the back data fill. So, there are quite a large data gaps.

I have been reading last few posts, and a lot of people are stating the same thing.

The guys who has stated about this problem, have you managed to resolve this issue? If so, how? Thanks.

Anyone know what the reason is for this?

    Thanks for your help.

PS. Is this something to do with NT not filling in the data from it's historicals? Just a thought.

Look at post #988 thx to Meow

Copy the new NTConfig.xml to bin64 and bin folders in "C:\Program Files (x86)\NinjaTrader 7\" (replace files if ask)

    You get it here:

    http://ninjatrader.com/NTConfig.xml

You may also look at this link if there is a gap in your chart from contract rollover to the new contract:

  6. jjfunds-

    we are all equal here.

we all have our good and bad sides but we don't let the bad affect our behavior.

we are here for one reason only- to become better traders and help others.

none of us is trying to gain anything from the others or make money from other members ( thats why i am here ).

here and there we have some arguments and bickering between us - but again- we don't let that affect what we do or say.

I am very glad to see the "SORRY" word and that is why i did not ban you this time-but...

you will have to earn back our trust and just act with respect to everyone even if you think that the other person did not respect you.

usually when that happens its a misunderstanding and we just ignore that and life goes on.

Hope to see you here supporting and helping our community.

    Traderbeauty-Jan

    Wise words, Jane.

    Thank you!

  7. Christmas present for indoinvestasi users.

This autotrader was developed by one russian trader and inspired by woodies system. You can use for any market but I use it for crude only , so all setting on the pictures for crude 1 contract.

To install simply copy and paste to ---- bin ---- custom ---.,( not a strategy).

    Good luck .

    Hi vit007,

thank you very much for your share!:)

You are using this Autotrader for live Trading? If so, since when?

I am always a bit skeptic with Autotraders if there is no proofen history of live trading and the developer just shows replay results.

If this one is real profitable in live trading - great!

  8. Hi FX

Currently i trade the es with december expiration- if needs to move to the march one then i will change them in mid december.

ok- so i am back from a wonderful vacation- mexico is amazing but all inclusive at a nice hotel will cause you to eat and eat and eat lol.

I am not disputing any of the scenarios you guys posted- all i just use the fact that no matter what- the market has swings and i use them all the time- so even if the market wants to go to 2125 or higher- i can do very well if it retraces 38 fib which is around 2015-2017 where i am going to exit some of my shorts including the one i just added at 2105 ( see post above) and then i will wait and let the market do whatever it wants.

if it goes lower then i will exit more at the 50 , 61.8 etc. the 1870 is not relevant anymore- as legs are changing- levels are changing also.

once i am out at 2015-2017 if the market goes up i will only enter more at the 1.272 or maybe 112- will see.

    anyway- good to be home.

    take care guys

    jane

Nice to hear you had a great vacation.

    Welcome back! :)

  9. i am getting the same- i just keep refreshing and it goes away.

Same here - after refreshing the browser it works, sometimes it takes a few minutes.

I don't know if it is browser related, but this issue have not appeared while using Internet Explorer.

My main browser is FF so maybe it is just coincidence.

  10. I really don't know, why all those "holly grails" are all the time without verified track records and always with very shady broker... hmm :)

Anyway, I thought that this forum is meant to be for sharing things and not for selling...

    Have a nice day!

Even with verified Track Records it is somehow possible to manipulate Metatrader track records.

As far as I know, it is easy if one owns a Metatrader Server License, you can manipulate everything to looks to good to be true...which is in most of the time the case...:D
