You can add custom indicators. There are two ways:

 

1. add indicators to the tick chart in the indicator window - you can add indicators that allow you to select the 'Apply To' field, where you should select 'Previous Indicator's Data'. Such indicators are for example the MT4 built-in Bollinger Bands, Envelopes, Moving Average, etc.

 

2. enable offline tick charts and add custom indicators on them - you can add many indicators this way, however not all of them will work. If they will work or not depends on the fact how they are coded. The number of custom indicators that will work using this method is much higher, then using method 1 (adding indis to the tick chart in the indicator window).

If you use offline tick charts (other option is tick chart in indicator window), you can choose HLC bars.

It doesn't show volume because volume indicator uses number of ticks as volume and on tick charts the number of ticks is constant.

Yes, you can open 3000 and 9000 tick chart as well.

The indicator you linked is a very simple offline tick chart generator tool. It only displays a 1-tick chart (or maybe a 2-tick chart) and it is only capable to do that on an offline chart.

 

RW Tick Chart has more features:

• RW Tick Chart can draw tick charts in indicator window and also to offline chart
  
• it can display tick charts from 1-tick chart to 2000-tick chart or more (e.g. 30-tick, 70-tick, 133-tick... etc, you can set the number of ticks per candle at the indicator settings panel)
  
• you can change tick charts on the fly (e.g. from 10-tick chart to a 89-tick chart) and the already collected ticks will be converted (and don't get lost like most other free tick chart indicators which start to draw chart from the beginning in such case)

Of course it all depends what you need. If you need a very simple 1-tick chart indicator, you may choose from many other indicators.

When I started trading I spent many months finding the holy grail between the indicators. I couldn't find it so I decided to code my own indicator. After testing my own indicators I realized they don't work as they should and can't give appropriate signals for trading. Then I decided to move on and code an Expert Advisor that would trade instead of me. Again many months have passed when I realized that EAs work only under specific conditions and when conditions or market environment changes, they loose. Now instead of trying and testing indicators and EAs I concentrate on my own trading, maybe that is my holy grail :)
