I tried this but no data from eurusd mt4 to metaserver pro RT 2.0

 

it is very simple to link metatrader dde to metaserver and metaserver to metastock...

open metaserver...new symbol....

1) SYMBOL NAME DAX

2) DDE: MT4

3) TRADE RECORD:MT4|BID!Ger30Dec12

4) ASK RECORD:MT4|ASK!Ger30Dec12

5) BID RECORD:MT4|BID!Ger30Dec12

it's all...allow metatrader 's dde in TOOL-OPTION...

there is no data coming from MT4 to metaserver rt 2.0 although no error(Although enable already in MT4 server). what settings should i put on metaserver pro rt 2.0? for example EURUSD? thanks

The way is MT4 > Metaserver 2.0 Pro > Metastock 11 Pro

 

METASERVER – METASTOCK 6.52 / 11 Pro The way to set it up.

 

MetaStock must be set up to receive real-time quotes through DBC Signal

 

If MS is already installed:

 

MS needs to be installed with the DBC Signal (Broadcast) data feed option.

 

To check which data feed is currently installed start the application “Equis Real-time Configuration” This application can be found in your Equis international menu which can be found if you press start.

 

Go to the Data Vendor tab.

 

Right under the tab Data Vendor you can read the name of the current installed vendor. That needs to be DBC Signal (Broadcast).

 

If that is not currently installed you need to reinstall MetaStock and select DBC Signal (Broadcast) as data vendor.

 

After installing MS again you need to replace the file Winros.exe which can found in the C:\Program Files\DBC\signal directory. You need to replace it with the Winros.exe file which can be found in the directory C:\Program Files\Metaserver RT 2.0 Pro (metaserver directory might be named slightly different) copy the Winros.exe file found in the Metaserver directory to the DBC\signal directory. All this file will do is automatically start Metaserver whenever you start an Equis real-time program and automatically connect the MetaStock data application to Metaserver.

 

If all is installed and Winros is copied then MetaStock and Metaserver are ready to go to work. (make sure you add symbols, see next chapter).

 

If you want to start collecting real-time data just start the MetaStock file Server and Metaserver will automatically start and pass data through to MetaStock.

 

(easiest way is to make a shortcut on your windows desktop to the MetaStock File Server)

 

 

METASERVER – METASTOCK 6.52 / 11 Pro Adding Symbols.

 

Symbols need to be added in MetaStock in order to receive real-time quotes.

 

Add symbols the following way:

 

Start up MS

 

From the menu choose File

Choose New

Choose Security

 

Here you have to set everything up according the way you want it.

 

Folder: Specify the folder where you want MetaStock to save the real-time data.

Name: The Name of the security

Symbol: The Symbol For instance as for the Down Jones –INDU

This Symbol will automatically appear in Metaserver

Periodicity: Choose Intraday

Units: Decimal

Interval: Tick

Start Time: Fill in the time the stock exchange opens.

End Time: Fill in the time the stock exchange closes.

 

Press Create.

 

The Symbol automatically appears in Metaserver.

 

NOTE: Metaserver do not send historical data to Metastock. No have Backfilling, then first you must import historical data and next connect to real time.

You must copy and paste the file Winros.exe from:

 

C:\Program files\MetaServer RT 2.0 Pro (Dde version)

 

to

 

C:\Program files\Equis\MetaStock\Servers\Venddlls

 

Then, now Winros.exe is into Metaserver and also in Metastock program.

 

Now try again, if not work tell me.
