I think its something to do with the .csv format maybe needs to changing to prn on the download.

 

I think DT has some issues with reading certain ascii .csv files.

You can use ninjatrader for free if you have an fxcm account, then convert the easylanguage tradestation indicator into ninjascript to have a real time data feed into dynamic trader. If anyone is willing to convert easylanguage into ninjatrader script that would be great.

Good morning, got the indi up and running.

PROBLEM, the HHMMSS ASCII setup screws the intraday charts a bit. They open but do not show the time.

Does anybody have a solution for that, I tried to look up the code in Metaquotes, but it is somehow hidden.

-ATS is not a black box system, it gives you a long/short bias, and provides "areas" of cheap entries. That is a lot!

The best is to buy the Master Course available from Robert, the best I have ever studied, about 40 hours. Just the time chapters are worth the money, is really mind-blowing. Took me 4 months, still working on it. Any DT version will do.

There have been no significant changes except DT.8 now has a license available to read IQFeed data if you have a subscription for IQFeed.

Beware of AGET:

Backtested FOREX pairs, 8 H charts.Following exactly the rules for both, type 1 and type 2 "mechanical trades".

Type 1 barely breaks even, Type 2 is a looser...

Make sure you do your homework before you invest time and money on this granted, "very promissing" software". Modern Big Boys Algos will chew you up using these outdated stuff (sadly).

There´s some information on data export here, including an indicator I posted, which downloads ASCCI dta from the time frame you are looking to aget, Dt, etc...any time frame ...you just need to refresh the charts in those programs, whilst having mt4 open with a chart (or many charts) open with the indi inserted...eod aget works just fine...to referesh you need to close and open the program...best with older aget versions...they are the best in my opinion...the new ones have nothing really new...I checked the esignal homepage...they want 3500 USfor the software which is basically the same old thing...

I use DT7 with MT4 data since years....it works .

The problem with the app data roaming foulder is a Windows issue....

The foulder is "hidden", so you can see it on Mt4, but won´t show on DT!!

The data I save through a little indi on MT4, on my hard drive....

 

To solve the "hidden" foulder issue, you need to google some "Windows forums"...there´s lot´s of solutions on how to make the app data foulder "apperar" again...It is tricky, cause it varies on different Pcs...took me like 2 hours trying...basically you need to go to Windows/foluders...and change as adm. the way they "show"...

Matrix is tricky, but Miner´s lessons invaluable...including the software.

But it took me years (literally), of studying....the time tools are awsome...

I installed on PC and laptop...though it was a bit different on each....I also had dt6 installed before, so one overwrites the other one...and you also get the matrix with it....and gann, if you had them before...

 

I cannot walk you through the process...I just kept clicking my way through...this was a couple of months a ago....I remember the was a virus issue, so I disconnected my Norton shortly...

Cheat engine is a freeware you can download from the internet...

Using the keygen is simpler than the cheat engine...in my humble....

Would like to post an image of a 1 M, trade I made yesterday on USJPY, using DT/.

But I just can´t find a way to post an attachment image....(no URL please)...

Got DT6, unziped that file and copied to bin...but nothing happened brother....do I need to install DT 7 separately...the older file in the beginning of the thread won´t go through my virus scanner...If I click DT6 from bin, DT 6 opens, DT 7 won´t...

Oldest versions of aget with mt4 data work flawlessly...and from what I see, have all you need compared to the newest...except you need to refresh data (icluding up to 1 minute)...and no dashboard, which I find horrible, and can easily be replaced by the scanner in the software...unless you´re a trader junkie, that needs a new trade every nanosecond...

I´don´t have that... I like DT, but heard the new version won´t have matrix on it anymore!!

Take DT, Matrix Matrix, all the courses and books, both of Miner and Copan...study hard....make money...it took me almost a decade....but it´s starting to pay -off...hope I can retire just trading ...I own my own business , but trading is just more profitable...once you hit the core....lot´s and lot´s of hours, and counting...
