Yes thanks Top1. As I suspected the RJ 2-1 appears to give the same as the hp 1-3.

can someone that installed it post an ES chart PLEASE- part of friday will be great.

I'd like to see some ES charts using these indicators/templates too. Also, I think the hpbars with the usual setting of 1-3 may be exactly the same as spectrum 2-1.

timein I don't have it but I know what he is referring to. If you look at the hp site you will see the dynamic trend zones which looks like a new dynamic trend indy with this addition. I watched a bit of a video to see it in action. It is interesting but like so much of these there is no info, at least that I see, that says 'what' it is. What it's based on. So to me it's just another draw on the chart which at some point enough is enough. Just my opinion. But it would be good to know how this adds to the use of the dt which I find to be quite useful. Hopefully we can try it out. I use a very similar chart as you posted above. Thanks for that great post btw. To me one of the big questions with these type of tools is the trend setting. But that's a whole new discussion. D

Haven't found anything related to High % Octopus indicators yet. Any vids on YT that shows these indicators?

 

Yes, there definitely are some vids. Some of the newer ones will show it and it was featured back in Dec or Jan. It is a lot more robust than the multi trader. I'm not sure if it's similar/same as the obj extreme but would like to try it.

Btw:

Could someone, who knows the Viper products enlighten me about the differences in the following editions:

- AccurateTrendMagic

- AccurateTrendManagement

- ViperObjectTraderEXT

 

And also are any of these the same as the high% octopus? which looks interesting to me. But I have not found or tried yet. If anyone has experience with this please give feedback.

Also, for the explanations on technical aspects of NT. My knowledge is extremely limited, directed only by what I've read from you and a few others in this forum which has proved very helpful.

TB I'm sure admis will provide a better answer, but I had the same problem on the bars I've been using. I opened the symrenko source and changed the line that specifies period type, which was set to Final4, to a different value like Final3, so it did not conflict with the other bars. Problem solved. Not where I can that code at the moment so I can't post it exactly but it's near the top and easy to find. If you still have trouble I can post exactly later.

 

Yes the symrenko does appear to be different to the spectrum or hpbars but I've just started looking at it as well to compare what I've been using.

interesting volume pressure, I will look to compare what I've been using which is the hpOuterlimits (seems to perform similarly) as well as the hpProphet indicator which is a nice little divergence spotter.but i have not tried the 3sym renko, only the hpbars but will do so. looks to me like better signals with the 3symrenko. thanks.

what exactly are you looking for when you say "...even then wait for a confirmation on a renko 2-1."

nice going, i took the same trade but exited all before the close.

looking for feedback on the pros and cons of executing futures trades through ninja. typically i've used ninja for charting but not trading, instead executing through a different platform like IB or OEC, etc.

 

I like the chart trading capabilities, but not the dynamic dom so much. Are there any drawbacks to using Ninja for orders? Are submitted orders, stops, scales held in the software only or on the server side? I've tried to find these answers but get conflicting info.

I like the theoretical avg idea where it accounts for scales and any add backs and shows your break even price in the trade.
