feewaiver is from CME group. that's the exchange fee waiver program for non-professionals.
so, with fee waiver, you have to pay a monthly
$79 (basic)+$20 (futures)+$20 (level 2) to iqfeed for its services
$5 to CME (for level 2 display for each of the CME exchanges you want to subscribe) for real time data display
other exchange fees that you might trade with real time data

I've just made the sources of that "impresive" PTG package... X_X Of course, no more errors.
If you want to waste your time to check it out - first of all remove the PTG binaries, restart NT and import the below zip file (after unpacking the 7z wrapper):
    PolarisTradingGroup_Free_src.zip
    - which includes the 3 following indicators:
    PTGTrendFriend.cs
    PTGTrixMa.cs
    PTGGator.cs

sometimes i wonder, do they also download the edu and take IMMEDIATE advantage by implementing the "innovations" (aka imitations) into their own products? seems to me this is a more direct benefit than using the edu to trade. i also wonder, what if all vendors came onboard and offered a "discount" just simply to keep their profits rolling from newbies...
i used to have a conspiracy theory on those who share out codes - they gave me an impression that they were actually from the platform vendor who's afraid to deliver beta products and trap into legal responsibilities. Afterall, by reading their codes, i learnt something and it's much rewarding than those who offer a discount that you simply know, you will never save that few bucks and make yourself like a pandit, when the vendor will possibly turn the table when you ask for product support. Trading software is a heuristics game, it's not a productivity tool, like OFFICE, MATLAB. Also, u need to invest time, energy, usually a torturing journey, to understand how the software behaves before you use it to trade your real money. From my experience, many vendors are generally not very well equipped and technically sound. Try to load up a 100 day tick data and you will understand how lame the software could be. Anyway, may be i have never truely benefit from those free codes (which afterall are some language translations from free codes on other platforms), i don't feel any deep respect to them. I guess this is something different between you, Master admis, and I. As a matter of fact, I do learn a lot from you, beyond the edu you shared, are your generousity and helpfulness. You have my deepest respect, Master admis, and abide to this, i dare not to request anything that's "protected" under your rules. Have a great one!

No. Ninja is still supported (although, it's rather strange, that they didn't put it in selector and it must be run with the start parameter: ninja@).
I wrote about the connection through CQG API. In the most recent release (4.5) there is supported only CQG Web API.

One simple thing, which is worth to keep in mind: Most of us has a driver licence (what is almost obvious). Despite this, there is still a huge difference between us and rally drivers... It applies to the computer usage, trading and other professions.

dear admis, thanks a lot for always been sincere and helpful. i myself indeed hate java since its inception and i don't get it why it's still widely adopted when sun-micro has already been "absorbed" by oracle and ibm is the only major java supporter. i wonder how much cpu power and electricity have been wasted by such a lame platform in all these years. for everytime i start up the jvm, i feel being cursed. Not to mention the headaches created by the frequent bug fixes and updates. [sigh]

You should know, I'm a java noob...Personally, I always didn't like java, but this is only the computer language. For me, the main issue is a lack of reversing tools in the comparison to C#. This is another world (much worse world)...
Thanks for the link, but I'm not a member of that forum. If you are in a position to copy some useful stuff from there it would be great.
And the answer on your last question is positive.
The BM.exe is only a wrapper of jar, which can be simply stripped off by using an ordinary hex editor. In this way we got the jar (~zip) file. Next step is decompilation (fortunately there is a few tools I've found) and later manually analysing of code (not so easy - the source is obfuscated). Finally, collected the main traps. Now we need a good ByteCode editor to make the patches in the java code. I've found BytecodeViewer 2.9.8. Is quite good, but it's insufficient... That's all story.
