psaini1973, When do you not look at 30M TF for confirmation? In you approach do you use only 5M and 15M for confirmation, Am I right ? Do you have any exception from you rules according to 30 M time frame?

i dont look at or use 30 min tf, very rarely if mkt is not moving, stuck in a range then only i c 30 min tf.

Yesterday was a very boring day. sitting idle the whole day 4 nothing. i took a trade approx 40 min b4 the close of London hoping something would happen, it did happen but after a long time and i had closed my trade by that time as it was getting very late approx to midnight here in India, i was feeling sleepy so couldnt upload the trade, now here it is . screenshot is taken today so the pivots are of todays and not yesterdays

i know about pivot, s/r, news, etc. but the ea has an option to trade only a certain period time of a day. i don't expect the backtesting or even forward testing to give very accurate info, but i still believe if the backtest can't show any profit, then you'd have hard time tweaking it. don't expect the ea to do much, but i'd expect it to show at least some profit if not much. besides, you may tweak the rules simply by backtesting with different parameters, which would save a lot of work load.

Sesshoumaru well i can only say if "retireme" is advocating so strongly about this system then u must check it out trading manually, may be its easy and profitable, my experience says good and profitable system are always simple. thanks

if the ea follows the system rules strictly, why not using it to backtest and forward test to give a general idea of the strategy? i think if an ea cannot make money following the rules, neither can people.

hi sesshoumaru. i dont agree with you. People treat EA like slaves to make them money and that doesnt happen, EA dont take into account the news , the pivots , Resistance and support and u dont trade 24 hrs a day but a EA does trade... but when u manually trade a system u do take care of many things. i always prefer manually trading, a trade is always at my disposal taking many things in to a/c.

i have not tried this system but u can surely follow the thread and check it out. just my 2 cents

As far as I know you trade on 5M Time Frame and you are looking for confirmation signal from 15M flipping between TFrames? Am I right? Do you look for Probability Meter as well ? I am asking because I am still on my way to understand the logic that is behind ProbMeter.

Yes u r right i keep on flipping between th 5 min and 15 min tf charts, i do look at prob meter but there are some more imp things also . like the pivot, resistance and support lines. i have many times jumped the prob meter reading and took the trades and have been successful, but prob meter reading is imp. part of this system.

Just tried to cash the fast spike but couldnt manage, Just left the pc 4 lunch and it moved like a flash, entry was very late exit was too early, was not sure which way will it go after such a fast run to R2

Hi roels major. i manually enter and exit trades. i have never used any scripts and have no knowledge about it also so as to how to use it. But yes i am thinking if there is some sort of system where i can enter or exit all the 3 trades at one click.
