just happened to see your thread, I'm currently working on trade manager EA, still working on some bugs but soon should be good enough to manage live trades. I searched for good trade manager but could not find, so decided to code myself, this one based on Swiss Army EA. Removed some useless stuff and added some useful things. For example manager has an option to exit on an indicator signal, currently using T3 MA (indicator has about 20 MAs in it, so all of them can be used)

how's the backtest ? have u tried modified the other 2 pairs as well? any good result ?

I haven't really tested this EA that much, and haven't changed the EAs for other pairs, not sure if this is if worth the time...

anyone have a wallstreet 3.9 that trades on live accounts? i've tried two so far from here and neither trades on the live account. the 3.6 from here trades fine. the 3.9's trade on demo accounts, but on the live account 3.6 takes a trade and 3.9 does nothing, nothing in journals or experts tab, just does nothing.

..also if you use unlicensed copy, EA will not be able to 'call home' and adjust values so you won't get same trades as licensed copy! I backtested unlicensed version and trades where quite different compared to the licensed one for the same period, and I don't this difference wan caused by data being different...

FMT strategy in new template

I haven't read all the post in this thread, but I coded the very simple FMT strategy to my template and run some backtesting... not very impressive! Here is the simple conditions I used :

EA just placing trades on quiet hour market hour based on CCI and momentum... not very impressive! I won't waste more my time on this one..

instead of modifying existing EA (especially if decompiled with messy variable naming), would be much easier for me to add the entry and exit conditions to my template that already has all the things you're asking and much more!

What I need is all indicators, template and clear explanation how system works (entry and exit). I use sometimes for this purpose http://www.screencast-o-matic.com/ to record screen and explain system, This works well as I can same time see the data output, just make sure Mt4 'Data Output' window is open and shows clearly

Don't you get? This EA is mega dangerous ****, it will blow your account sooner or later..

.. this might help, here is modded version added some parameters external, so you can change TP & SL levels for both primary and secondary positions, also external parameter added for Magic numbers. This is just beta version but seems to work fine in back testing. I'll update to new version if anyone is interested.... not sure though if this EA has eny hope of being trade-able in real account

My choice is OANDA (for broker) and ECNs like MB Trading (US based so no hedging), ATC Brokers and Dukascopy through fairtrading. Alpari UK has also Pro side but MT has ridiculous 3 lot minimum and 20k min deposit. min. lot size can be talked down to 0.1 lots, Pro side has clean feed and should not get any re-quotes since you get liqudity provider feed with commission!

I prefer to pay commission and get clean unpadded feed instead of playing around with brokers or NDDs. When ever there is any intermediary interference you are not trading the 'real' spot otc fx market but market created for you by the intermediary. Thus problems will follow and there is room for manipulation, re-quotes etc.

I'll post my custom version here, you can change the TP and SL values on this first edition, second will come if I see any hope for this EA...

Yes indeed my template is based on Funyoo's (TSF) template, but quite a bit of addition made to it by me and more experienced programmers. i am also currently working on the Martingale and removing some unnecessary parameters, Funyoo's template has quite a bit of those, although I like his very simple and straight forward style of coding

Simple rules.

 

When smooth line crosses over diamond line enter trade.

see attached strategy for in-depth rules.

 

In addition:

 

- Please add any confirmation indy you desire.

- Please add a MM

- Add news filter to prevent a new trade and exit trade

- Add comment & magic numbers options

- Add email options

- Add micro-lots capability

- Add 4 & 5 digit ECN or Regular Bucket Shop

 

For trailing option please add three

 

1. Simple Trailing

2. Add Psar Trailing

3. Special: Close & Reverse position to trail 40 pips behind

diamonds.

 

Final Note: The EA must obey slope rule of the smooth line. It's

the difference between success and bust.

 

Any additional items you feel that will make this EA super

profitable!

just Google you can find ex4 to mq4 decompiling services for less than $5 per file, I used one but forgot the name, worked well, my purebeam ver 224 could not decompile but they did using some other decompiler.

Sorry on my laptop now at summer house, so cannot attach ver 224 decompiler, will do later if someone wants it, anyway you can find it on the net...

if someone has latest Purebeam decompiler version will pay $$ for it :)

if you have lucky running it on unlucky broker, it will make s*** result. you can compare. that's my experience.

Why use brokers?? If you get re-quotes or some other funky stuff switch to an ECN! My recommendations are: MBT, ATC, Dukascopy through FairTrading, FinFX(smaller company caution!)... Good brokers OANDA and FXCM (expensive), Alpari UK (get Pro account and ask for reduced min lotside, Pro side is ECN feed but has min 3 lot that can be reduced to 0.1 lots if you just ask, min 20k)

Your trades look good, is it live account?

Problem with WS Robot is same as most commercial EAs - it is willing to risk a lot to win little and eventually will face market conditions that will be devastating... until that, happy trading... :)

If my trades start to look good I will open up the DLL and see what kinda logic it is using, just out of curiosity...:) Back testing this even in tick data is pretty useless as setting are supposedly changed and DLed from home site on regular basis!

I'm really not into commercial EA and I have tested hundreds of them and know people who have tested even more for many years and results are pretty much the same: most of them are garpage!!!

However I made en exception on WS Robot and recently bough licensed version and now running it on OANDA demo on my VPS. I also decompiled the ex4 and changed so that magic number is automatically generated different for each pair and frame... of course all the trading logic is in the DLL and didn't wan't to mess with that, anyway seems like this robot relies a lot for the new DLL setting updates it gets from the home site.

Would be nice if people share here trading results (live and demo trading) through places like myfxbook etc.

MyFxbook just seems to upload mt history data, this is also one reason why MYFXBook track can be manipulated easily, so unless you follow track live no way of knowing iftrades are uploaded from history of actually recorded live!!!!

Yes, dll/dat are different in size, I don't think both are from testttt... only 3.6 version.

yes, i think good idea to buy licensed copy. However I don't think the adjustments are very complex (I might be wrong ofcorse) usually these type of adjustments adjust TP and SL according to volatility etc. And there is no other info except history price data that EA can do the adjustments by, unless it uses second variable (another correlating market/data like S&p500, fixed income etc. which I doubt, as commercial MT4 EAs most likely not sophisticated enough to do this). .. anyway I am more happy trading my own custom EAs thancommercial ones. commercial EAs usually take too bid risks for small profits to show high win ratio. I suppose about the the only ratio most EA buyes look :D... But hey who knows i might be wrong and WS actually belongs to that 0.01% minority of commercial EAs that are not total BS!

Apparently what you missed is my post above explaining that the settings are coming dynamically from the server and get changed as market conditions change. If you are testing a version that does not go get the settings from the server then you are not testing what Birt is running. That is why you don't see the same results. You are comparing apples to oranges.

is not calling for the new settings from the server? Anyway settings are adjusted propably with ATR or something simple like that, and could be easily added to the main code so no need to call any external code... problem is ofcourse know what the adjustment is based on...!

I think the basis of building any solid automated strategy is to start with a good template.

Good template is the foundation for any system, and it has all the routine money-, position- and risk management features, as well as all other necessary needed routine parameters (for example compliance with 5 digit or ECN, random magic etc. ). For most systems these parameters are the same and those extern parameters that are not needed can be depreciated from the code.

I've been working on a template like this (programming myself and using freelance programmers) and have a pretty good one build(single code and modular template using libraries). I'm interested to share this project with someone who has MQL programming experience and is interested in building a solid, good EA template.

At this point my template is good enough to accommodate almost any strategy and most strategies I can program myself on top of this template. So if anyone has a good strategy that has been tested under the gun, I can program this into my template and we can to optimize entries and exits and as well as to see how strategy would have performed in back testing based on real tick data (MT4 data is often faulty and inaccurate , also interpolation make test results for any EA taking less than 10 pip highly inaccurate!). But no matter how accurate and unbiased back testing is done best test is to trade system live!

Wall Street Robot forward testing

I saw some good forward testing results at Birt's EA review, so i desided to get the EA open code/decompiled version. I ran some backtesting on tick based data and results were NOT very impressive! If anyone disagree with me let me know, perhaps I missed something here...?
