I don't know if FXAW is any good or not, I suspect it is and an ongoing membership could be quite useful? But what I do know is that you come across as a complete moron in this thread. And no I'm not a spy, not even a FXAW member.

Does anyone know where IBFX Australia servers really are? US or Australia?

 

Im in Australia . wouldn't just having a dedicated PC at home be enough on ADSL2+ connection rather than getting a VPS?

 

They have their trade servers in New York. Maybe 200ms ping from Australia vs 10ms from a NY VPS

i got faulty trades today..it opened and closed trades so pay spreads for nuts.

Hmm mine didnt do that today, I got 5 trades for 20 pips total with one open and a few pips down. I'm no longer getting that error either, seems to just happen after loading and until the first trading period for Megabot, then it disappears, at least for me it has.

Any coupon code for buying this?

Trade session is between 19H and 00H but no GMT parameter. So, this is GMT hours ?

 

That is what I have assumed and I now have it running on a GMT+0 broker and it seems to be doing ok. By the way the "Megabot: Invalid handle -1 in FileSeek" errors stop when the trading hours commence, and it seems to be trading ok and my preliminary backtests were great so I see some promise here. Will keep demoing for now. It may not be the original Megabot but seems good anyway

I'm currently running a dukascopy tick data backtest on USDCAD 15m and this thing is performing beautifully! It has doubled the start balance in 3 months using pretty much default settings. It doesnt really look like the megabot from Birts website though, it trades way too much to be the same robot. I'm just thinking what is the catch right now.

I find it hard to beleive that you are making money with this EA. I speak with the developer live on skype and compate my results which are live with Pepperstone and i got losses which also correlated to the developers trades. Too many traders on this forum talking **** i beleive and not disclosing true information.....

 

Yes pepperstone hasn't been the greatest lately, I've been using them on and off with limited success. And I haven't made any money for the last 2 weeks on my good brokers either so I'm actually a bit worried this thing has hit it's expiry date. We'll see i guess, i hope it hasn't but im beginning to think it has based on recent results.

Ok that's fair enough... I don't use MDP but what I believe everyone is entitled to know is:

 

is you broker an ECN (variable spreads), STP (variable spreads) or a Market Maker Broker (fixed spreads). I'm quite sure you're familiar with the terms :|

There is no "Golden Goose" to be killed as the result mentioned is not real! I have been observing this EA for many months and none of my friends who used this EA make money, indeed some of them lose terribly!

 

If the developer knows the "HolyGrail" Setting, they should mention it to their customers without hesitation. Surely it is unethical to sell a piece of "Junk" to people in sake of making millions for themselves!

 

Correct there are no holy grail settings, i haven't even bothered to test other settings besides default, which worked for me. If it didn't work on default I would have refunded it, when i bought it i was always unsure if it would work or not. Luckily it has so far. Your friends probably have brokers that are unsuitable for it, thats all. Even on good brokers the results are extremely variable.

If you managed to turn your $1000.00 account into $5000.00 within 2 months, your risk setting should be quite high. Just prepare to see $5000.00 account turns into $50.00 one day without Joke. If I am in your case, it will be smart to withdraw the $4000.00 profit that just won.

 

No, default settings across the board. I did get hammered by the gbp version last week during nfp trades, but still continuing to trade it. I might consider dropping that pair though. And yes i'm thinking I need to withdraw the profit and then just up the risk on a smaller account.

The forum is all about sharing which I for one like to adhere to, so I would welcome your valuable input if you share your VPS and brokers. I have reservations about your results but you can easily erase any doubts with your submissions.

 

If it wasn't so broker and vps dependant I would share, but I'm not even sure it will keep working on my current setup so I'm very reluctant to share details. I realise it's my first post but I just wanted to counter the belief that it isn't possible to make money with it live- it is. If I could think of a way to prove my live results without revealing the broker I would. I've got no reason to lie, just wanted to confirm that it can make money, at least at the moment, who knows for how long it will last.

It can work. You just need the right broker and vps. I've turned two separate $1000 accounts into $5000 each using mdp over 2 months. two different brokers.
