Is it possible to select a particular server if a broker has more then 1 server?

 

This is my problem: I am with a broker who has 2 servers, MAIN and BS,

I use to be able to log on to both MAIN and BS servers but today I can no longer log into the MAIN server just BS server.

 

So I want to know is it possible to select a particular server for myself?

(reader generates an error message repeatedly and then crashes.

i have a scalping EA which is doing well, but everytime i up the lots it loss.

 

someone on another forum said Some brokers use a Virtual Bid/Ask program, and when you up the lots of scalping EAs, the program messes with the spread and slippage.

 

is this true? and what can be done?

What slippage to use for 1 minute scalping (arbitrage) is best?

HunFxTrader seems to work fine now thx. but the fix StopLoss does not work, i set this to 1.0 but the trades keeps trading till the extern int stop loss kicks in at 20 but the fix TakeProfit works.

Probably it was because of the weekend. Did you solve it?

Where does the EA come from? Can you tell some information: what timeframe, cross and with what result do you run the EA on?

 

 

works now thx, it was because of the broker. works really well with mb trading but when i try and use it on acfx on the 0 spread account, it does not work at all, no sl or tp in place. can you help?

 

i will show you how much i can make and share the system with you if you can sort out the sl and tp.

I got this ea but doesnt work with a ECN broker.

 

ECN brokers operate differently and the tp/sl must be set AFTER the order has been placed.

 

could anyone help me with the code to place a sl and tp after the trade has been made?

just like to know is it a good thing or bad? on my wireless pc i get 42kb but on the hardwire i get 0 - 1kb

thx mate for the help, the trailing stop has to be atlease 15 for it to work using alpari.

I have a scalping system that works really well but I can not seem to lock in the profits that i have made using swiss army EA. Could anyone help me with the right Trailing stop and break even setting?

 

My scalping EA made a eurusd BUY at 0.90256, The price move to 0.90304

 

What will be the right settings to lock in the profits? i should get around 0.50 profit but I only get around 0.01 - 0.03 profits from the settings using 0.01 lotsize.

 

At the moment I have

 

trailing stop of 3

break even at 2

brake even slide 1

stop lost 1

takeprofit 5

 

 

any help I would be grateful.
