I am using Tradestation and Owndata to load realtime metastock data. There is only problem that the chart does not update automatically. I have to refresh (Ctrl+R) to read the latest data.

 

Is there a way to write a macro and it runs every minute/ time? Could somebody help?

One of the improvement scanner works with third party data like metastock data. However, when I create a scan, it never come out the results; always "the scan does not find any results meeting the criteria"

 

It is said that easy language of V9 support conversion from and to different language however, this is incorrect.

 

Thus, we could assume that there no improvement because no improvement works as desire

Hi all,

 

I just had tradestation 8.7 and Owndata 2.7 working with tick metastock data and want to share this because it took me long to come to this end.

 

1. install three sortwares: tradstation, owndata and OnDemand Server (all available here)

2. start Owndata and config the data source as metastock, change the session to your trading time and insert symbol.

3. start tradestation and Ondemand server will start. This makes tradestation work online so it reads tick metastock history data.

 

Edit: Actually, you dont need Ondemand server for tradestation to load realtime metastock data. Now, I could load metastock realtime data from a folder to tradestation.

 

There remains one small problem is I have to refresh tradestion for the next tick to show up. hope some could go further to the end by automatic loading

I had it work for more than a month now.

 

1. use software called x net to block any calls to the server

2. if you dont have realtime data, install metastock for esignal and Meta server dde version (look around this forum for it), copy the winros from the metaserver install directory to the DBC directory (this is available after you install metastock)

3. Start tradeguider and wait for about 5 minutes and see it works

@ Nihilistic, I use the software called metakit that is design for Vietnam Stock. Currently it is free. I can use it with Tradeguider 2.5 RT and Metastock RT but not with Tradestation. If you need it for reference I will give it.

 

@ Sixer, is hserver different from Multifeed from RT soft. I have try Multifeed but it does not work

Look inside the folder, you will see the MetaServer_RT_3.2_I. That's it.

I have following problem and wish experienced members to help.

 

My software gets realtime data in metastock format and stores them on my drivers. The problem come out when I want to use this with Tradestation and have been trying to find solution for 6 months without luck.

 

Could somebody show me the way? I have played with Metalib to read the data into excel and use DDE to Owndata to Tradestation but Metalib does not support realtime.

I find the scanner in TS so powerful and want to make use of it. Could somebody help me how to use scanner with EOD data? Each time i start the scanner, it says "does not support in offline mode"

I have 3.1 working on windows 7 but I have to disable my video card. This is also true with windows vista. It does not work with out of board video card.

First he took the ideal of circle analysis from J.M Hurst, then wave analysis from Eliotte and claimed that he created a so called 5/9 counting before approaching Eliotte waves. He also have price and time vector which first presented by Bradley. any way, all his writing just from others and impossible for trading application.

I just got the same problem as you. took 4 times to register with four different email address but still Prof. version. Here is what I did to get back the Astro Version.

 

1. Googling with the key word: market analyst gann edition. A lot results come out but take this site: "http://www.wdgann.com/market-analyst".

2. Scroll down to the end of the page, you find the trial link, just click on that it will bring you the the desire site.

3. register with an account and download to install the Gann with Astro version.

 

You should copy and backup the file name "PSG_Registry.xml" which located on "C:\Users\XXX\Documents\Market Analyst\common" XXX is your user folder for later use.

 

@Ivich, you will face the same problem as ours when your trial period expired.

I dont have an esignal feed. The one I use called metakit. it feed realtime in Metastock from provider (in Vietnam) and I have it works smoothly with TG 2.5 not this version.

 

I wish to use it due to its capacity of watch list.

Thank for the upload, but I just had it work for 2 times, then the big bar occur again on windows 7 64bit version. I also add some remote host in the host file. problem still persist
