Aren't ECN and DMA more or less the same? No dealing desk?

 

Generally, DMA's have a best pricing arrangement with their liquidity providers, ECN's don't have any special pricing arrangements.

I had >$25,000 in profits cancelled by Hotforex. I guarantee you they will not pay your profits.

 

Using this EA or something else? If they knew you were using an arbitrage EA then it isn't surprising that they wouldn't let you withdraw the money. So the important question is; how did they know?

 

If you're using ECN brokers, then it really shouldn't matter to them if you're using arbitrage. Using a DMA broker like Hotforex however is a completely different story because they have to protect their liquidity providers or they'll lose their pricing advantage.

Does anyone have OddBot v1.5 edu to work on live accounts?

 

I'm trying to make several backtests of 10 years (with the 2GB patch) to 1.5.D but it runs extremely slow.

 

v1.5 runs very slow in backtests for me also. I assume it's due to the news filter. No problems with it running in forward mode though.

Thanks. What set file are you using (conservative or default) and did you get trades last week? If you can provide us with yr settings e.g. news filter, etc. will be appreciated.

Is ver1.5 trading? Mine is not but no error message. I think it needs the key and don't have it.

V1.5 from the first post is working just fine for me in both forward and backtests without a key.

Thanks everyone for all the information about how this EA works. I was originally planing to give it a try but now that I understand more about the way it works, I think I'll pass.

If you purchased it and are unhappy, you have 30 days to return it. If you haven't purchased it, then you obviously don't know what's in the final systems. Obviously you are looking for it too, or you would not be in this thread.
