RE: Vostro, even assuming this indicator doesn't repaint, did anyone notice with me that the signal arrives late? Also it would be nice if the spike were proportional to the market move it's ostensibly "predicting." Really IMHO, an indicator that doesn't predict (and accurately) is useless. Anyone with coding experience can write an indi to report events in real time, I mean that's what candles do/are for. An indicator that doesn't lead is no indicator at all.

I pretty much blew my account from over-trading, not news-trading. As of right now I can't afford a newsfeed* to provide confirmed signals even a few minute before scheduled market moves. Beyond that, news trading works and is a "no brainer." If you have Dustin's (or anyone's) confirmed signals with deviations and an ECN-STP broker, you're in-like-Flint. None of your technicals will stand up to a major news event, you can throw your indicators out the window. I learned more in a month than many learn in years, too bad I didn't do it on demo money, but then it wouldn't have been as real.
Just get your order in a minute before scheduled release time, and know (don't guess) the market's direction.
*A free to users, forex newsfeed would be a real service to those who use this board. Air is also a valuable commodity, thankfully no gatekeepers charging for its use just yet, although there may be some future costs for exhaling.

I've an opinion about this indicator, if you care. Earlier this month I started with $550. and had it up to $800. by trading the news, beginners luck! then I diddled it down to half that from over-trading. I found Ahmad's World Cup Forex report and thought I'd found the golden fleece/grail whatever. Last night I had the perfect set-up on the GBP using the i-reg indicator. Only problem was, no one told the market it was supposed to stay inside the bands, and don'tcha know, broke out. I all but blew my account selling short, hoping it would find it's way back into the channel. Blessed sleep. This morning I opened metatrader to see the parabola had changed, now GBP is on the uptrend. A word to the wise, the border-hedge is an illusion and the market doesn't care. I-reg repaints itself. I was using most of Ahmad's indicators; RSI, CCI & momentum, and it didn't help.

I hate to disagree with many of you more experienced traders. My first experience with news trading was awesome, I increased my account by almost half. I did it manually based upon remarks telegraphed by Bernancke, so the market direction was a no-brainer. The only value I see in Dustin's Oracle trader is the live news feed and deviations he provides. Those are hugely important though, in that they determine the direction of market move and whether a person should trade at all. OCO orders are another option, but news can initially spike in the opposite direction, so your orders can get triggered in the wrong way. And too big a trigger means you lose most of the positive move. As for brokers, if you use an ECN-STP broker like thinkforex, you'll have instant executions, just so long as you enter BEFORE the market starts to move; otherwise yes, you could be skyrocketed to the top, very humpty-dumptyish.
If anyone knows how to participate in Oracle newsfeeds without the subscription fee, please share. You can still enter your newstrades to MT4 manually, and yes news trading does work, big-time.

Maybe I didn't do anyone any favors. I downloaded it and found the .mq4 files isn't recognized or found even after I put it in the proper metatrader experts > indicator folder, doesn't appear in the list when I reopen metatrader. Has anyone else had this problem? It appears to be an indicator, not an EA.

I'm sorry, maybe french don't get US TV programming Stargate SG1 series, it explains everything about God, ascension and blackholes, but sadly, not forex :(
Anyway, dukascopy might be good for something. I watch Mike Swanson video showing he use dukascopy platform with their unique indicator showing number of traders on both sides (buy and sell) in separate numbers by tick. It helps him know what price will do when there are more buyers than sellers, and visa versa. Anyway I'm downloading their MT4 demo platform (beta) to hopefully nab some good indicator(s); may only work on their platform though. You need to be a big fish to swim in their pool.

Hi, was wondering if anyone had an improvement over general method of trading 5,3,3 stochastics? I lost more money than I cared to this week in the Euro's downturn, trading the 5 minute timeframe. At first I thought it was just me, till I realized that over-bought and over-sold have absolutely nothing to do with price or direction. Often an overbought situation just keeps screaming upward, and cross-overs mean next to nothing because the indicator lines still only follow price and can switch direction in a second. I'll admit my strategy is very short time frame, but even by following the signals when to enter and exit can still put a person at high tide or no ocean in sight, very quickly. And even volume is no help when a person is going the wrong direction. The market seems very counter-intuitive, violates every rule and strategy, consistently for a very long time. Am curious if there's any way to improve on stochastics, since so many trend following systems seem to use it. Can anyone suggest a more predictive oscillator?

I almost doubled my account news-trading and now lost more than half by fancying
myself a scalper, when I'm the one being scalped! None of these metatrader indicators
are worth a dime, they change with the candles, no one cares what indicators you
use or your strategy, the market just does what it wants.
I watched a Mike Swanson video yesterday, he trades with dukascopy and he showed
an indicator they offer that shows the number of buyers and sellers in the market
separately, by tick which is very useful with respect to price support (maybe); I've seen
volumes of 2, driving price into the stratosphere, and they don't come down quickly
when there's no one to make them. Is there any way to get a handle on this? Thanks.

Hi fxeasy. Thank you for your points made. Most often I do think
to do a search, for example the Market Maker Indicator was not
found. This time I forgot. I wouldn't want to make a request without someone reporting their experience with a system first.
