Hi, I'm curious as to when you opened the USDCHF short for the NY session? From what I understand, the signal candle for the NY session is the open and close of the 8:15 am candle (13:15 GMT). Then we wait for a candle to open and close above or below the lines drawn off of the signal candle. It looks to me that you opened the USDCHF trade too early for the NY session.

  2. Hi All,

Do you know if we need to do any trade time adjustment starting this Sunday? As you know, the EA is set to trade at 5:30 am GMT. That is equal to 6:30 am BST in London currently. I believe this Sunday, the UK will fall back 1 hour and it'll have the same time as GMT. Do we set the trade time now to 4:30 GMT?

  3. Having a problem with the EA. It took profits today at 3 pips even though I have it set as follows on 5 digit MBT Metatrader broker:

    StopLossPips 400

    ProfitTargetPips 800

    BreakEvenAtPipsProfit 240

    TrailingStopPips 400

    Lots 10.0

any idea what I'm doing wrong? The previous day it also took profit at 3pips, but I know what the problem was then as I had it set to 40-80-24-40 on 5 digit broker. I thought by increasing to 400-800-240-400, that would solve the problem. Do I have to start over? Expert Advisor is on and smiling... Maybe I have to reload the 5 digit set and save again???

Your profit target of 80 pips is too high. The vendor recommends a profit target of 40 pips. What happened today is that after the trade triggered, it did shoot up and pass the 40 pip target. However, at 3:45 am GMT, it retraced to near the entry price. Your trailing stop of 40 pips moved your stop loss to break even once it hit +40 pips and moved up 3 more pips as the price moved up. Then when it retraced at 3:45 am, it came down and hit your stop loss.

If you'd set your profit target to 40 pips, you would have bagged 40 pips instead of 3.

  4. Thanks Testt.

Just want to report to everyone that testt's educated version is working fine. I never installed any other version of u-turn. Installed testt files, restart metatrader and it works fine.

As far as the system goes, not too much impressive. currently there is a get ready to buy alert GBPUSD 30 M, price around 1.5771

I just got an alert to buy on the 1H GBPUSD. However, the indicators (I guess they are moving averages?) do not form a "W" plus the filter remains red. Based on that, I'm not taking the trade.

  5. http://www.4shared.com/file/qAgWO_f0/Forex-U-Turn_edu.html Did not remove the code. I can get the individual files but once loaded they disappear when opening the platform still.

It's working for me. Could it be that since you installed the files before the educated ones, you might still have some file there that checks for licensing? Mine is a fresh install so I don't have the problem. The only thing I've noticed with the educated indicators is that when the alerts to buy or sell pop up, I don't see the "W" or the "M" appear in the chart that Jason talks about in the manual.

Edit: Duh. Took a closer read of the manual. Jason's talking about the W or M formation on the chart and not a literal letter W or M. LOL

Looks interesting so far. Played with the 5M GBPUSD chart earlier and bagged 12 pips on a demo account. It's too fast for me though and I don't wanna stay looking at the screen. I switched the TF to 1H. Now it's alot less frantic. Let's see how it goes.
