I have the same results today. Last week DCT has opened more positions.

What broker are u using? My broker is Alpari NZ / RU.

I set 10 gap. Open many post. EU, NU, EG, EJ, UCHF, ECHF...all profit. Last close gap i think is for pair UCHF. Totally got $100 today.. :)

When does your broker open? 11pm or 12pm/00pm?

@ expat: May we should make some BT with 99% modelling quality, they can look very different.

I'm using MD 1.21 live for more than 6 months, the non aggressive strategy looks very good, different from backtest !

Thanks for your conservative set for IR 1.4o. It's a WINNER. Don't know if it's my imagination but it seems as if somehow it avoids sudden market movements. Can it be true?

One other thing, i found that the news filter to some extent ignored my high profile setting for GBP news of this morning. Do you think that could be a FFCal problem?

Can you also please post you twigged Expat conservative set file for IR 1.5 if you don't mind.

I am trying to do the backtest in Alpari uk data on GU, I realized there is a gap in history center data from may 6 to july 7, almost 2 month of missing data, anyone knows where to get the better data?

Try the backtest data of Alpari RU or the best solution should be to use the backtest data of Dukascopy.

@musketeer: Yes or using a SL. But this is against the strategy of this EA and may makes them non profitable. One possibility to lower the risk is to using very small lotsize on a huge account, may 0.01 lots on a 10.000 account with leverage 1:100.

Good thread and good EA. Indo run makes more and more improvement. But account-killer problems must be solved before using them on live account without ensure.

But what is the best solution?

Indo Run 1.5 and Setfile 2010.3.24 - 2010.4.15, DD = 12000 (0.1 lot), close 2010.4.19.

How is it possible to close on 2010.4.19. when you only test till 2010.4.15 ? Please upload your test statement. Thanks.

Here my idea how to make Indo Run better. I read this method in a book:

Use the Envelope indicator on a higher timeframe, may H1. If the price is between the two lines, indo trades are allowed. If the price breaks out of the channel, often a new trend is coming and there the trades must be stopped or not allowed. This method doesn't fit on every situation, but it may help to reduce DD or to filter trades against the trend.

@expat: Yes you are right. The newfilter is good, but not good enough. What we need is to find a good combination of the other filters like MA, momentum etc. or to add a other filter, we must play with filters, like tomislav said.

May i have a idea to make the EA better, i will think about it and post my idea the next days.

i'm trading indo run in the second week now, and i had no problems with big drawdown...

The EAs with the magic-number 1001, 1002 and 1003 is indorun with different settings. The 1.0-lot trades were from DCT scalper, i forgot to set the lotsize down to 0.1.

My indorun settings:

#1001: conservative + newsfilter on H1

#1002: conservative + newfilter on M15

#1003: conservative: switched off because i think without newsfilter i makes no sense
