Hello, I'm the author of a new expert advisor based on the breakout strategy. the backtests show that the system is profitable in time . In the comments you can find backtest 2012-2015 with quality to 99 % , while in screenshort there is a backtest to 90 % over the past decade . Analyzing the backtests can see that BreakoutZZEurUSD has a stable profit. It seems that the DD oscillates between 6% and 10 % in backtests to 99 % , it could be an acceptable DD.

hi, i make a backtest using only open price obtaining positive result, but using all ticks backtest goes down. Why don't we use only open price ?

Back test shows positive result if every orders is processed on open price .

who sells a system and shows the BT of a competitor is not reliable.

The Great Backtest results for 2010 showed the site coincides with the original bt of DTS1 by forexhope.com(http://www.godrules.net/forexsoftware.htm).

I use the system in conjuction with Currency meter, works great, I dont even pay attention to the bricks

 

can we discuss about your method to trade ? which indicators do you use of forex racers ? when i speak about brick i mean brick candle, not brick given by fr-scanner.

this is my indicator-strategy: use fr-trendline, fr-breakout, fr-retracement,fr-trend, brick given by renko chart.

decision-strategy : sellstop and buystop below/above fr-breakout or fr-retracement

anyone has trade with this system ? great patient in front of terminal to waiting for new brick with right setting!!

i've observed this system , the logic is breakout s/r or breakout on retracement. system is able to capture little trend and gain on it. but sometimes you can meet sideways market and on this condition you can capture a lose. when you enter on market you must enter after (al least) 2 brick candle if you want to see trend.

i' ve download from post 9 decompiled file, delete function that control registration, but on backtest it doesn't give orders. anyone is able to correct file mq4 ?

limasi, you're right. i've decompiled and delete function (caldata+ calcfunc). all indicators run correctly. i am trading from this morning, and i' ve saw that this system seems stable in profit. next trades give me the proof about positive perfomance.
