4 hours and a half recording... I'm still on my way with the other webinars from fxstreet trying to follow a temporal sequence, but I'll follow your suggestion now, hoping this will shorten my learning curve. ;) EDIT : Sorry, my mistake. The webinar is only 46 min long. I don't know what I was looking at when I said 4 hours and a half... LOL

Thanks very much, saamy. A few picks which clarify very well some doubts we happen to find on the way to trade this strategy proficiently. For those who might be wondering where the mentioned article is, this is the link http://www.tradingacademy.com/lessons/20110524/featured_article.htm

@ jbozman Hi. Although I appreciate yout input, I see that maybe I didn't express my thought clearly. I've never been fishing for thanks or compliments and I think what I've shared so far in this forum can prove it, although it's not even a tiny bit of what some great sharers have done. The thing is that, for some reason, I still feel surprised at why many people keep not using that button, while I do. The Thanks button in my opinion is to avoid repeated posts which would say the same thing, so not to clutter the threads endlessly. That's all. Anyway mine was just a little rant with no real meaning. Sorry for that. Enough said about that and let's just carry on posting about the main subject. :)

On that bosgear.com site, which has been mentioned several times now, there is so much really good stuff. I wanted to point out it has an option to save the content to a pdf or a doc by clicking the Tools menu on the right hand, as you see in the pic. By the way, since you're there you might want to take a look at that page I got the shot from, which is http://www.bobsgear.com/display/stocks/45+Ways+To+Lose+Money+While+Trading+Forex ;);) http://img832.imageshack.us/img832/9842/pdfoption.png

Bloody hell, 34 downloads and only one thank you?. Same old story on this forum. Not that I really care, just to prove a point which has been discussed in other threads...

The enhancers were shared already before, but thanks very much for pointing us to that forum. There are some gems in there like this one that I just uploaded to mediafire. http://www.mediafire.com/file/l1m2h8qhcarjs9v/OTA%20ARTICLES.xls It's an Excel file with links to 188 articles written by Sam Seiden! And also many others from people at the OTA. A lifetime won't be enough to digest all this stuff...:D

Let me understand better though. The moves last Friday were quite strong, but would you normally reverse as soon as your stop is hit? My understanding is that a support becomes a resistance when broken (and visa versa), but again the best way to enter would be not to enter immediately but to wait until it's retested. Does that make sense?
-
Thanks for this hint, mate. It makes a lot of sense. I did catch (with my eye only and instinctively) quite a few trades like this after the NFP news last Friday which generetaed strong moves. Going to check it live from now on, keeping in mind your suggestion. ;)

Yours is a great suggestion, my friend. I've only started a few days ago watching the videos and trying to train my eyes to find the right levels. It's very easy to spot them when looking at the webinars but a bit harder when I'm on my own with live charts. The indicator posted previously, in my opinion, might be handy and traded with specific rules as our friend chankl has been doing successfully, but it can be deceitful to find true levels as it misses some good ones and marks some bad ones, so I suggest people to be very careful if using it. As any other indicator it shows its own limits. As for me, I took it off my charts. ;) On MT4 instead of using horizontal lines I draw a little rectangle on the top and bottom border of the s/d level and then I edit it by quickly modifying the month bit in the properties, so the right end will be extended as far as I like. Easy to delete whenever the level will be trespassed. http://i51.tinypic.com/sv19xl.jpg

Took the liberty to convert into a PDF Sam's slides from Lesson #1. This one is in ENGLISH http://www.mediafire.com/file/1ma7t3bhtthjxx1/Sam%20Seiden%27s%20Lesson%20%231%20slides%20.pdf

From the Russian link posted by our friend saamy I managed to download one more video which I didn't see before: SFOmag Technical Strategy Trading Breakouts Here it is on multiupload and also mirrored on mediafire for those who have problems with the former Sam Seiden - SFOmag Technical Strategy Trading Breakouts.rar (44.22 MB) http://www.multiupload.com/F6F9H8LUQV http://www.mediafire.com/file/yu8mg5yoekaig0q/Sam%20Seiden%20-%20SFOmag%20Technical%20Strategy%20Trading%20Breakouts.rar P.S. - This thread has become a real goldmine for Sam Seiden's works. Thanks to all those who have given their contribution. =D>

From your trades I see you don't care about trend either on current or higher TF. Is that right? Also Sam recommends to have the area in front of the trade clear of obstacles up to the TP which should give at least a 1:3 risk/reward. According to this last statement I see u have bent his strategy to your own taste... But as long as you get pips, way to go! ;)

A trade I took today... http://i53.tinypic.com/10cnh9i.jpg

Can please share you indi, chank? I hope it has an option for time shift. I've been looking around but haven't found any so far. Thanks
-
@ chankl78 I see u've been using the weekly and monthly pivots on your charts. Do you find them more effective than daily in regard to this strategy?

I'm using 60 too, not checking lower TF's anyway. After having observed the indi behavior for a while, I think it works ok as it deletes the previous levels which have been violated and keeps the ones which are still valid i.e. where the price hasn't arrived yet. So to use your own words "Once the area is failed, it will disappear." I think your idea has great merit and I also see you're using pivots to identify confluence. Thanks :) Only, in that screenshot I took, I still don't understand why that level disappeared at that point, as it didn't fail and actually gave a good trade, at least 30 pips.
-
Following this thread with great interest. Thanks to all the sharers. Im testing the indi, and I noticed something. As u see in the pic (EU 1H) there was a demand level, which disappeared after it was touched. Does it mean the indi repaints? We all know Sam doesn't use it, but it would be handy if it works properly. http://i52.tinypic.com/16iwpxz.jpg At the moment I'm typing, the price has bounced a bit off that support :(

I didn't have problems with 4shared, but here's the stuff uploaded to mediafire anyway :) http://www.mediafire.com/file/t7fyxeuucki6uue/James%2016%20Group.rar

You can see the total size in David's 1st post: 4.13 GB (although I get 3.88 GB for the DVD). The zipped files won't differ too much. Hope that helps.

Well, that was the rule when I joined last year. There's a chance it might have been modified, maybe the least number is 5 now... -

[REQ] I need rare forex mentor videos. PLEASE HELP!!
alright replied to sammyj786110's topic in Forex Clips & Movies
I saw other people complaining in the forum about this same thing but I never really paid attention to it. This time I did and it is funny to see how people are so greedy in pushing the Thanks button while in this case the number of downloads of my files is already well over 20. I don't really care at all of course, but sometimes little things like this can show the true colours of people. :-/ -
