Like I said before, I've made this a very basic EA, mainly for backtesting this system. It simply follows the Entry and Re-entry points as shown by the CalcLong and CalcShort indis on your charts. The T/P and S/L are determined according to those suggested by the system again, but you can choose the level of profit you want. Also, if you wish, u can allow the EA to adjust the S/L based on the ActiveStop points. I still have yet to work out the Reversal bit, but the EA does follow the Re-entry points effectively.
 
The whole idea behind this EA was to see if it would be profitable if you were to blindly follow the SST system and try to take every trade it suggests. My results were not good, even though it seems to comply with the system rules. Please backtest this robot VISUALLY... make sure you drag n drop the CalcLong and CalcShort indis onto your backtest chart (these indis have been shared here before). And let me know if it's following the rules properly. I welcome your suggestions, but keep in mind that this is not a full blown robot yet. It's just the first step...
 
Parameters
 
TakeProfitLevel = This is NOT the usual TP parameter in pips. Set this to a number from 1 to 3... the EA will then set its TP according to the TP levels shown on the chart, i.e., 1 means TP1, 2 = TP2, 3 = TP3.
 
FollowActiveStop = If this is false, the EA will set a fixed S/L... if true, it will follow the yellow ActiveStop as it moves
 
AllowSimultaneousTrades = By default, this is false, which means that only one trade is allowed at a time. If the EA sees a trade entry for the opposite direction, it will close the current trade and open an opposite trade as suggested. If true, then it will allow Buy and Sell trades to exist simultaneously...
 
 
I am not releasing the source code yet because I havent yet incorporated the Reversal bit. Once it's ready, I'll share the code with the next version (I might add a Trailing Stop as well). Besides that, my coding style is a little weird :)

Please note, that irrespective of the 10 hours setting there are vulnerabilities with high impact news if pending news is visible in the news calendar even if 12 hours are indicated. Important to check charts prior to engaging EA because recorded news is not the only news that subjects charts to large breakouts. Allow at least 10 hours if news items have created a large impact to any charts

mate, i fully agree with this! in fact i've just disabled trading after USDCAD hit SL.
 
I noticed something, Primeval had the same trade with KAIN, but it was smart enough to to adjust TP (at small loss) to close the trade.

Actually that is what the EAKain developer did :)
But remember this is depend on your Broker regarding DST setting.
My suggestion the best this is do your own backtest, and see which is best GMT_Offset

I'm not really sure about your problem, that probably problem with your metatrader or your antivirus/antispyware.
As per statistic already more than 500 people already download V104 and so far nobody feedback like what happen to you.
Maybe you can try reinstall your metatrader with latest version and try again, and make sure you are login with administrator right.

Yes you are right, default spread is the maximum spread that safe use with EAKain.
You can reduce it to make even safer but you will lost chance of potential trade (and off course potential lost :) )
BTW off course it's depend on your trading style.

Nice back test, better than my backtest at Liteforex :)
But remember in real trade, is very difficult to get that, since spread will increase during Asian session due to high demand, while on fixed spread broker they will play with re-quote with same reason high demand :)

Just run back test on v105 and works on Alpari. I haven't try it on other brokers. all settings left it as in default settings.

- No need to change on fixed spread broker :)
- Never change the spread higher than suggested or risk blow your account
- Lowered spread more safe but less open trade

i have yet to see my first loss for ea kain v1.05, already bored of all wins on my alpari uk :D
anyway i have modified this ea for gmt +1 and spread limit to 2.5 for eu, 3.5 for ec and default 4 for ucad :D

you truly and absolutely spoke out of my soul ! I have discovered this beautiful gem somewhen back at the date where the timeshift in Germany was. Thus I was not sure which GMT offset to use, and I backtested it with GMT +1 even if we are GMT+2 at the moment... and the tests were good. I decided to go live with it, and would have enormously regret it if i hadn't ... yesterday it gave me 30 pips with ONE single trade in EURCHF. Dragonpips and MegaDroid would have never done that. Record is 50 pips in agressive mode EURUSD.

I am trading only default 4 pairs EUR/USD,EUR/CHF,EUR/GBP,USD/CHF.I use MD Pro without news filter because i think the filter mises a lot of trades.I filter manually trough calendar, news like FED funds rate,statements,mostly US statements those are very bad news for MD.Megadroid N1 is also good set and forget system for VPS,but i cant afford VPS for myself anytime soon.And settings i use prety much the same everyone uses.Agressive on,recovery and risk sharing off.My starting balance was 1000$ i risk 10% on every pair.

Kindly note that I use the default trading hours and set override trade times set to "false". In fact, I had some confusion over this over the past months and did find that it is still profitable for me. Like yourself, I'm gonna test it out over the next 2 weeks before I go live and I will enable it to trade whenever it possible can.

@vikram -- IBFX is an NFA broker, so you would automatically get NFA/FIFO trades regardless of what settings you use. So, typically, you should have fewer losses than someone who can hedge/non-fifo.
 
@rex -- override = true uses the hours you set manually. override = false uses buit-in logic's defaults. Set it to true.
 
Anyway: It is my suggestion to all following this method that you set your "aggressive on" pairs to NFA = true.

i ahve seen a few trades missed on fxopen while they went through on eglobal and vice versa but not oftenn
 
the advanced version good only for eurgbp on 15 minute chart.i need to recheck and confirm the timeframe though.if different will post about it here.

With 1.0 multiplier setting will execute trades with proportional volume on your account. I.e. for example, we open 0.5 lots on their 10K account and you have 1K account, then EA will execute 0.05 lot. Rest your worries on this portion.

Please note that I've closed a couple of trades manually as my MT4 crashed on me and had to re-install. But according to support, it has no issues 'recognising' which are the pending/close trades upon restart of MT4, so if anyone encountered the unfortunate events which I did, sit back & relax as everything should be in order =)

I'm just kidding, there is no new megadroid. It is already awesome as it is, BUT:
 
Even though Megadroid has been for quite some time one of the few robots (if not the only one) that has been REALLY steadly profitable, it still gets the ocasional stoploss, most oftenly caused by NEWS.
 
As I personally believe Megadroid to be the best robot in the present, and as I have wasted loads of time trying to improve mediocre robots, all in vain, I thought about doing it for Megadroid.
 
FIRST of all: Advanced Droid Tactics worked for a while for me, but then it got into a spiral, losing most of my account. I don't know if the new version works steadily, but I'm giving it a break for a while.
 
SECOND: Why would you set the Aggressive mode to True if it's not worth it, or why would you set it to false if it's totally worth it? What about Recovery Mode?
Well, I did an extensive 10 years backtest using constant lot comparing the aggressive function. The results?
105% more profit at only a 7% increase of long term risk. That's all there is to know. In other words, set your Aggressive mode on.
What about Recovery Mode? Recovery mode is a function that doubles the lot size of the trades until all the loss of a past stoploss/loss has been covered. That's in average 4 trades but sometimes it might be up to 14 or even more. Is it worth it? Definitely NOT. Using Recovery Mode is the same as using martingale on Megadroid, but only at one level. As you know, martingale doesn't work because by increasing the risk, it not only increases the profit but also the risk and losses. But is it worth it? Still not. After deep backtesting and analylis, all I can say is:
- If you're using Recovery Mode and are comfortable and happy with the risk you're incurring, then turn it off and increase the lot size by 60% and expect a profit increase between 15 and 30%, while keeping the same risk.
 
THIRD: The news. Not all of the Megadroid losses are caused by news, but some are. There was a time that I turned it off when high impact news were coming, but that just became very botherful, mostly when I had other robots with it. So it was about time someone created a version of Megadroid that could avoid news. As I couldn't find one for a lot of time, I created one myself, and here it is:

I called it Megadroid N1. N because of the News Filter and 1 because it's the first version of it. But all it is is:
 
There are two versions:
-One is the latest Megadroid v1.21 educated and the other one is Megadroid Pro v1.01ee, both versions from this forum.
 
The new parameters are pretty simple. Either you set it to avoid news or not. If you do, then you can choose if you want to avoid high impact news and/or medium impact news and/or low impact news. Then you set the time in minutes that you don't want to trade since the latest news of a choosen impact and the time in minutes until the next news of a choosen impact. By default I set those values of minutes that you will see as predefined, but make your own judgement, and if you think you know good settings, please suggest them here.
 
This new version gets the news from an indicator that is on that zip file and that you will have to position on your meta trader indicators folder. That indicator is FFCAL, I think it originated on the forexfactory forum and it downloads all the following news from forexfactory calendar aroud every 6 hours. The EA updates its newsfilter state once per minute, so when you first set it up, expect it to take up to 1 minute to be fully working. About the news it avoids, it avoids the news related to the pair you are trading. If you have it on USDCHF, it will avoid news of those two currencies.
 
I also incorporated on it something that tells you if it is not trading because of news. You will notice on the chart, along with all the other useful information, that it says "Not trading! Avoiding news". Once again, this will take up to 1 minute if you set it for the first time or change the EA parameters.
 
What more, I can't backtest it with past news, but I forward tested it a couple times for some minutes to see if it was doing it's job and it seems to be. Give it a try and post your results, if it works alright with you, and any sugestions you might have.

I have played around with alot of EA's and Megadroid Pro is the only scalping Ea that i feel comfortable enough to trade live with as long as your Risk management/Lot size is well understood before you begin live trading !
 
At the moment i'm trading a live account of 150 dollar starting balance. 0.02 fixed lot size settings, risk level set to zero, aggressive= false, and it has taken my account to 175 dollars with 8 days of live trading.
 
Refer to my previous posts regarding using my manual news filtering method because certain pairs should not be traded on certain high impact news announcements that fall with a 10 hour buffer period !
 
I firmly believe that following this manual news filtering method to choose which pairs you will trade per given day greatly improves overall profitability. At this stage my profit % is 83.3% . 24 total trades 20 winners and 4 losers with max drawdown of 3.25%.
 
Risk management and correct Lot size settings relative to your account balance is a critical factor to ensure reliability and a profitable performance from Megadroid Pro !
 
I personally believe that it is better than Fapturbo as a scalping EA because it is more prudent and selective before it jumps into any trade !
