  1. FxPrimus, so far so good.

Thanks for the advice but I doubt they will rip ECN clients off since their feed is Dukascopy and this would damage Dukas's reputation aswell. I assume that was merely for their market maker accounts. What do you think? Or can you recommend another ECN broker with minimum deposit 1000 or under and 1 Minilot or less minimum trading size?
  2. Many thanks! Can i clarify what S2 trading hours did you specifiy for Aggressive pairs? Or you have set S2 trading hours to be the same as S1?

These are my current Megadroid Pro N1 (XE 1.2) settings:

    http://lh3.ggpht.com/_3jAgGdOcEeA/THDhpcChLHI/AAAAAAAAA3k/MLurg_HbTdQ/s800/None.jpg

Hit the "thank you" button if this is helpful! ;)

(P.S. Please note that, for the JPY pairs (USDJPY and EURJPY) listed above, I *ALSO* have, in *ADDITION* to the settings shown above, the Medium Impact news enabled and set to 600/600 for those pairs.)

  3. Try this:

    general="EA Comment and Magic Number"; comment="EA"; magic=1234; moneymanagement="Lots Size and Money Management"; lots=0.1; mm=true; risk=20; minlot=0.01; maxlot=50; lotdigits=2; ordersmanagement="Broker, Spread and Order Management"; ecn=false; oppositeclose=false; reversesignals=false; maxtrades=1; tradesperbar=100; hidesl=false; hidetp=false; stoploss=71; takeprofit=8; trailingstart=0; trailingstop=0; trailingprofit=0; trailingstep=1; breakevengain=0; breakeven=0; maxspread=100; entrylogics="TimeFrame, Entry and Exit Settings"; matimeframe1=30; maperiod1=6; margin1=1; matimeframe2=30; maperiod2=8; margin2=1.5; rsitimeframe1=1; rsiperiod1=6; rsitimeframe2=5; rsiperiod2=10; rsitimeframe3=15; rsiperiod3=20; rsilevel1=92; rsilevel2=128; timeout="Time Outs and Targets Settings"; usetimeout=true; timeout1=30; target1=7; timeout2=70; target2=5; timeout3=95; target3=4; timeout4=120; target4=2; timeout5=150; target5=-5; timeout6=180; target6=-8; timeout7=210; target7=-15; timefilter="GMT Offset and Time Filter"; summergmtshift=2; wintergmtshift=1; mondayfilter=false; mondayhour=20; mondayminute=0; weekfilter=true; starthour=20; startminute=15; endhour=23; endminute=0; tradesunday=true; fridayfilter=true; fridayhour=20; fridayminute=25;

Its been an HR with no trades i read somewhere that thing trades a lot??

  4. Hi Nozi,

Perhaps, you'd like to give up EURJPY pair and try the CHFJPY (with 121nodll). It has given me some profits this week:

    1591832 2010.08.05 23:00 sell 0.40 chfjpy- 82.063 82.508 81.563 2010.08.05 23:19 81.978 -4.00 0.00 0.00 39.64

    For everyone's considerations =)

Thanks so much for the clarification Scott (and the kind words)! I didn't realize that the difference was that you/others were having this multi-SL experience with 24/7 trading vs. theozaki's timeframes. Gotcha now.

BTW -- I agree with rex, eurjpy is nearly a lost cause. Im giving this a last shot with medium 600/600 set as well to see if that helps.

  5. To be honest, I've experienced a few SL on EURJPY pair over the past months which triggered my decision to stop trading this pair, that aside.. all is well with the new filtering method =)

I was part of the original bunch to test and use the N1 version of this robot. I had about 8 trades today on MD and only 1 hit SL (Live, GO Markets, it was EURJPY which I forgot to turn on the medium filter for -- see my rec's below), so I can't say that the losses some are experiencing are universal. Had I had medium on for the JPY pairs, I would have had no losses at all today.

This robot is the safest and most effective. If you take time to read back through this thread you will see guidelines for setting up the N1 news filtering in a manner that is different from default and results in safer trading/better results.

I mean: how many of you are setting it to 600 mins before and 600 mins after, rather than just leaving it at the default? The default that dinj set I think was 300/300 or something like that, and to use those low defaults would increase your likelihood of poor results.

To summarize, the steps you can take to improve your results with N1 are:

(1.) 600/600 - High Impact News for all pairs (*EXCEPT* trade JPY pairs with *BOTH* high and medium impact as 600/600)

(2.) Trade Aggressive for all pairs *EXCEPT*: EURJPY, USDJPY, EURCHF and GBPCHF

(3.) Use the trading times specified earlier in this thread (per theozaki's guidelines)

If you follow those guidelines I am confident that you will not experience significant losses unless your broker is playing games. (Good brokers include Go Markets, FxCBS, Gallant FX, IamFX, and Alpari UK).

  6. mate, i fully agree with this! in fact i've just disabled trading after USDCAD hit SL.

I noticed something, Primeval had the same trade with KAIN, but it was smart enough to to adjust TP (at small loss) to close the trade.

Got hit today with USDCAD. First massive loss since May ... well, acceptable. I will not trade FOMC meeting today with either Kain nor Primeval. Asian session lacked even more volantility, half of Japan being on holiday this week (Hiroshima 65th) but no official bank holiday.
  7. Thanks benz! I'm using an ECN broker.. so the suggestion is to leave the default spread limit as it is rite? Regards.

    Here it is my friend,

Annoying message already fixed and add possibility to control maximum spread

    Remember:

    - No need to change on fixed spread broker :)

    - Never change the spread higher than suggested or risk blow your account

    - Lowered spread more safe but less open trade

Don't forget to put EAKAINv1.05-bnz.dll at your Metatrader library directory to run properly.

BTW, when I'm upload v105, I just realized that v104 already download 643 times!!!

    Regards,

    Benz

  8. hi girlie,

apologies, just to clarify.. i don't really see the spread limit field.. or you were referring to another field within the EA?

    Much thanks!

i have yet to see my first loss for ea kain v1.05, already bored of all wins on my alpari uk :D

anyway i have modified this ea for gmt +1 and spread limit to 2.5 for eu, 3.5 for ec and default 4 for ucad :D

  9. Hi Nozi,

Are you using the 1.2XE on your live yet? I've begun testing and saw several logs saying that it didn't trade due to high spreads (left my settings as default 0.0), do you by any chance know what are the default values for MD Pro?

    Much thanks.

Well folks, today my 1.01ee N1 on Go Markets account had a busy 11 trades this past trading session, 9 winners and 2 losers.

The losers were EURJPY (no shocker there) and EURCHF. In reviewing the historical win/loss data for the past few weeks, I am adjusting the hours of USDJPY and EURJPY again from 20-22 to 21-22. Most of my losses are coming from USDJPY and EURJPY. The 2 losses accounted for about 50 dollars, but the 9 wins accounted for about 80 dollars, leaving the session profit around 30 dollars for the day.

So, overall profitable, but the killer each session is repeatedly the JPY pairs. I'll continue to monitor them and report back. If hour adjustments haven't eliminated the consistent losses at the end of two weeks (from yesterday) then i will discontinue these pairs.

  10. Hi Murtamad, which broker? Mine closed nicely too.

The 2 trades opened this morning has closed in profits!

    2010.07.13 03:02 sell 0.08 audusd 0.8770 0.8813 0.8720 2010.07.13 04:08 0.8767 0.00 0.00 0.00 2.40 - S1

    And a new Open Trade:

    2010.07.13 04:40 buy 0.08 audusd 0.8756 0.8701 0.8806 0.8762 0.00 0.00 0.00 4.80 - S1

So far so good! Have to resist real hard putting it on live account right away!!
