So what's the latest working AB version? I am still running 5.6 from a long time ago...

Anyone who is interested in a certain Udemy course: until tomorrow there is a so called 'Black Friday Sale' and most courses go for only 12€.

@ajay17
Thanks a lot! Any chance to upload the remaining sections as well (15 out of 20 sections are up)?

I'd like to second this request.

Thanks. Unfortunately it is the old course before the 600 Build Metatrader update.

Got it all running, big thanks! Does anyone have the AFL Library as well?

I haven't read his books yet. Is this course an adequate replacement of his books or do you still have to read them to grasp all his ideas? Thanks.

Hi,
I am looking for an indicator which creates an alert or popup message whenever a self drawn trendline gets approached. The indicators I have found give an alert when the trendline is being touched but I would like to specify a range - say ten pips - and get informed when price reaches the trendline plus that range. Do you know such indicator? It doesn't matter if MT4 or MT5.

Btw, does anyone has the PDF file for the section on "Gauging the State of the Market Key Takeaways"? I could not find it from the downloads. Thanks.
Ough, that's actually the part which I was looking forward to the most (to improve my overall market / sentiment interpretation). Any chance that this will be available at any point?
Does the course still contain videos about gauging the state of the market?
Thanks

Anyone please?

Hi,
I would like to know how I do get EOD data (US or European stocks/indices/commodities) for this educated Amibroker version?
Thanks in advance and cheers!

Just need to find the correct video now!
Any luck yet? I haven't...

So here I go:
Problem: When switching from one timeframe to another the chart jumps to somewhere else and I then I have to find the place where I have been before again which is quite annoying. I was googling this and TomasZ advised many years ago to use 2 linked windows and look at them both instead of switching timeframes. Now this used to be achieved by Window->New->linked chart. But this option isn’t available anymore. (The handbook says it is now available at File->New->linked chart, but this doesn’t seem to be current either).
Creating a symbol link manually isn’t doing the trick, too. So how do you watch two different timeframes that are moving in sync?

Hi
I think I might need some help with AB in general. Coming from Metatrader I find the handling quite non-intuitive (for example after hours of googling and searching I still have no idea how to save a full chart with trendlines and stuff), but still I want to learn this platform and the programming since I think it will be worth it in the end. It might be a good idea to start here a general helpthread for Amibroker. Hopefully some AB experts on this board will be kind enough to help out.

Hey folks,
I tried to install MC on virtual box, but I get a error message during the installation process ("There was an error running dataUpdater". Please call the support...). Any idea why this doesn't work? It does work on the host installation but I don't want to run a cracked version there.

Why not search here at indo-investasi? But I haven`t checked the links
Regards
Links are broken, but I posted new ones. The thing is, that this DVD contains all magazines up to 2008. However it seems to be not possible to find any more recent issues past 2008. I am not sayig these are useless, but AB has changed since 2008.

Here's the next best thing to the Official AFL Library. It's at the Wise Stock Trader website. http://www.wisestocktrader.com/
- Indicator Pastie
- Indicator Library
- Function Index
Didn't find the library to download on this site. Do I have to register or buy their product first?

I think it would be very helpful to have a couple of those Traders (Stocks & Commodities) magazines which contain trading systems written in AFL. Any well documented AFL code is helpful to learn AFL. Unfortunately I couldn't find those magazines on the net.

The AFL library isn't accessable as a non-member anymore. Is there some sort of offline-library to download?
EDIT: I'll answer myself. I found a library by googling: http:/www.themorrillfamily.com/david/downloads

Does anyone know if there is a data source like Yahoo and Google that provides forex, futures or commodity data that can be linked through programming code for free? I think Yahoo and Google only provide stock data from an ECN through BATS http://www.batstrading.com/
Not sure if I this is what you are looking for, but I've linked Amibroker to Metatrader via DDE.

Best way to download data from DC is registering for their demo. Then start their JForex platform and use tools->historical data manager. You can specify what data in which format you want.

@Fmfx
You can download FX history here: http://www.forextester.com/data/datasources.html
You could also download from Dukascopy.
