2. Hey Indos, is anyone trading Ea`s with Alpari and uses VPS? I am using Scalping Ea`s, and need Server in UK with lowest Ping.

Hope someone can help me.

Make-a-million, I am currently using CNS (http://www.commercialnetworkservices.com/VPS/). A network ping to the Alpari UK site (15:45 GMT) revealed latency of <1 ms and not more than 2 ms. I do not have much experience with CNS as I have only moved to them recently. Maybe some other members can comment.

3. You beat me to it... Just wondering.. how many total files did you download in that directory?

FWIW here's what the ones I downloaded....

http://mir dot cr/02YGPVLZ
indo-investasi

Jayman007, my download differs from yours in the following files:

Bytes	Filename
0	DFC Next _____a____G.mq4
5012	Incomplete-FISHER~1.ex4
0	MorningFlat_Expert (______ ______ _________ ___ __4).mq4
16627	xpMA.mq4
5273469	ex4-to-mq4_v4.0.224.1_decompiler.rar
475	ex4_to_mq4.lnk
520	ex4_to_mq4_220build.lnk
545	ex4_to_mq4_224.lnk
0	ex4_to_mq4_224.zip
995926	ex4_to_mq4_224.zip.part
5120512	ex4_to_mq4_demo.exe

I did not download the ex4_to_mq4 files listed above. "DFC Next" and "MorningFlat Expert" are both 0 bytes in size and also not included in my share. I did however update my post above (#62) with a download link for 2 additional indicators - "Incomplete Fisher" and "xpMA" (for the Indo members that have already downloaded my share).

4. Here is quite an excellent indicator XB4d ! I put it on a one minute chart and did not notice any repaint after the bar closed. I did notice if I changed the time period to 5m and then back to 1m, it did change... I imagine the same thing would happen it you restarted the Metatrader.

Can someone please confirm no repaint if setting aren't changed and Metatrader isn't restarted? Here it is:

http://www.mediafire.com/?abjdl42n3f0r1v1

By the way, a work around for indicators that change when time period is changed or Metatrader is restarted is to never change anything on that chart or restart the platform when live trading. This is made easier if you have a 24/7 VPS (which I don't).

It seems to me if it repaints (it depends on your definition of repaint, I guess) - I may be wrong. Take a look at the image attached. I have simulated (backtested) the indicator on the Metatrader's Strategy tester whereafter I have placed another copy of the XB4D on the same chart. One can clearly see that they differ. You must just remember that not all repainting indicators are useless if you use them with other confirming indicators for market entries and exits.

5. Hi sgsgsg,

Thanks for the reply but I don't understand "Ha Ha Ha"?

Steve

Stevie, all that sgsgsg is conveying is that FXUltraTrend is exactly the same as CCI histo - I guess also nothing more than a normal 45 period CCI indicator crossing the 0 line (as is evident from the code excerpt from the FXUltraTrend indicator) - and of course that it sells for 70 euros.

l_icci_0 = iCCI(NULL, 0, FXUltraTrend_Period, PRICE_TYPICAL, li_32)

6. Hi Guys,

I have added the FXUltraTrend indicator below.

Is anyone able to modify it so rather than draw bars (like candles) that are green or red it draws a histogram. The value range for the histogram is always 0 to 1 the only difference is that it is either red or green for down trend or uptrend.

Thanks

Steve

Stevie, very quickly done, please see if you are satisfied. I have also added an option to change the indicator's period - currently set to 45 (same as the original indicator).

(substitute x with w, @ with a and 0 with o)

7. If you would master, can you give us a synopsis of how the system works? There is no screen shots, instructions, etc.

Thanks

David, it may be a good idea to first of all learn the Ichimoku Kinko Hyo system - the basic indicator comes standard with MetaTrader 4. There is information available on the internet on how to trade the system. You will find a good summary with examples at Ichiwiki. The MTF indicators are, in my opinion, only useful if you trade the Ichimoku system and understand all the terminology and trading strategies associated with it.

8. lotterp u can change that settings.. to 60 or 5 or 1 .. whichever chart u use.. just type in the number .. still it is not taking trades if urs take trades please show us the picture...

sillykiddo, please find screenshots attached. I have used the EURUSD M15 for backtesting - did not fiddle around with the settings. From the screenshots you can see that the backtesting is working. The first image shows backtesting in progress, the second after backtesting is finished (with the report). I have done nothing special - just selected the EA from the list, the currency pair and time frame and off it went.

Just make sure that you have copied the indicators into the correct folder (/experts/indicators) as the EA makes use of them. The third image shows the Journal tab just as the backtesting was started (before any trades were made). Here you can see that all indicators were successfully loaded.

If it still does not want to work, delete the applicable EA and indicators from your Metatrader folders (.MQ4 and especially the .EX4 files), and replace with those found in the shared link. Restart Metatrader.

9. no it doesn't take trades..

can anyone good coder can fix this problem?

thanks..

Fixed EA, all the indicators are working as by previous post.

The EA had an external variable (TimeFrameMinutes) that had to be set to the chart time frame the EA was used on. This is now removed and the EA will trade on the chart you drop it onto (regardless of time frame). I do not have the manual to check what currency pairs and time frames suit this EA best - the default time frame setting was 60 minutes.

10. Hi there,

Can anyone look at this new and improved indicator/EA and remove the expiry & decompile it please ?

http://www.multiupload.com/80MV5MEQGI

dgb, there is already a decompiled version contained in the file you are sharing. I looked at the code and cannot see anything that will stop this EA/indicator from working. It seems to be working the way it should - doing nothing but updating the price and indicating the spread. None of the other functions' code has been implemented - it guess that is all the demo can do. I notice however that FX Tools are selling FX Multimeter IV for $50...

11. FxProfits,

This is not a system, nor an indicator. As this is not a trading system, but rather a technique, it's success relies on the trader's trading ability - it is therefore difficult to say whether it is any good. It is up to you to decide whether this strategy has a place in your trading arsenal.

DPG is just a normal 1-2-3 reversal implementation (you will find alot of information on the internet). In my previous post I may have became a bit (too) optimistic about something so simple because:

1. It was nice to be reminded of something as simple as the 1-2-3 reversal strategy when there are so many "complex" indicators and systems being marketed.

2. I am currently working on a trading system that requires me to find a way of re-entering a trade. This seems to have potential.

3. When I find stand-alone software (such as DPG) I try to do some reverse engineering with the idea of implementing its functionality directly into my trading platform.

Of course it must be said that the 1-2-3 reversal strategy does not always work by itself and additional indicators may be required (such as support/resistance, moving average, other trend indications). This strategy does perform better when trading with the trend, or even with breakouts from ranging markets.

DPG is, in words, based on the following:

1. Entry is calculated as (%Retracement - 25%)

2. Stop is just above (3)

3. Profit taking is the same distance from (3) as price movement from (1) to (2)

With this summary it can easily be spotted (by looking at charts) whether this strategy could be profitable based on your current trading style.

I have attached an example (a nice hand picked one at that)

12. Dynamic Profit Generator formulae

Here are the formulae used in Dynamic Profit Generator.

1 Tick/Pip = 0.0001

I will use the following abbreviations:

Price 1 => P1

Price 2 => P2

Price 3 => P3

For a Short:

Entry = ((P3-P1)/(P1-P2) - 0.25)*(P1-P2) + P2

BE Level = P3 - (P1-P2)/2

Target = P3 - (P1-P2)

Stop = P3 + 0.0001 (1 pip above P3)

Diff = (P3 - P2)/4

For a Long:

Entry = P2 - (P2-P3)/(P2-P1)-0.25)*(P2-P1)

BE Level = P3 + (P2-P1)/2

Target = P3 + (P2-P1)

Stop = P3 - 0.0001 (1 pip below P3)

Diff = (P2 - P3)/4

I have also shared an Excel file containing the formulas (shoud I have made an error in retyping them above)

http://www.multiupload.com/ZNJVP1691P

This may be useful should someone be able to find time to create an EA/indicator. My time is currently very limited and I will not be able to do so in the next month or two.

I am jumping the gun a little bit by assuming that the DPG strategy actually works, but by creating an EA backtesting can be done to assess the success of this trading strategy.

Ideas on how to automatically detect a 1-2-3 reversal, with the purpose of creating an EA, is welcome. With this in place I believe that, with additional indicators, one can create a profitable EA.

Please watch the videos - I will not explain what Price1, Price2 and Price3 are. The videos explain everything - I assume that you have watched to videos and understand how to use the Dynamic Profit Generator.

13. All files contain expiry code GBP, JPY and AUD too. Send me please working files

sergeyt2, it seems that all expiry code has been removed by the author. I have used the link provided on page 1 to download the EAs.
