  1. Re: The L.M.T Forex Formula

Tried this on a demo account. Didn't work out well.

EURUSD, EURGBP, AUDUSD and GBPUSD. Signal to buy but next day or so, all SL was taken out.

In the long run will lose money because

    1) Poor Risk Reward Ratio

    2) difficult to pinpoint a good money mgmt plan due to poor RRR.

You may make money once in a while but not profitable in long run.

The risk/reward ratio you do manually use isn't exactly what is suggested by creator probably.

The idea is to open TWO trades at signal, one with mentionned TP, one without a TP, you manually trail it (or automatically) meaning you will be able to catch long term trends, so big profits.

There is also an advance tactics for the LMT, mentionning that using several USD related pairs at same time is dangerous, as most of them are correlated

Keep in mind it's a "signal" system, the trader keep the last word, if you combine it with other analyzes, it should be profitable.

  2. Re: Automated System or Manual System?

Manual or trading system is really upon your Forex knowledge and avaibility, desire to work on it or have something working for you.

I do personally prefer the automated systems, but I don't beleive in a unique holy grail. It's impossible for one EA to master all market conditions, even less nowadays when the market change so regularly. We are far from the "old time" when it' s was mostly trending with clear direction.

So I du use a panel of robots, active or inactive based on my forex market knowledge, which give me some good results on the yearly basis.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still convinced that a manual system, when well managed with clear rules, wil alwasy be superior to an EA, and it's what I will tendfor the majority of my funds, but a basket of Robots will always be part of my portfolio. For when I'm not available, for when I'm not feeling good, for when I will enjoy the cash made ;)

    Cheers,

    EG
