Hi chankl78.. TQ very much for showing us your usage of AGet in trading forex.. You got me interested in AGET!! :)

I wish to check with you whether the AGET EOD can read either i) Metastock intraday data or ii) Excel data? TQ for your reply.. :)

  4. Re: [REQ] Pristine DVD's Seminars

Can any fellow members provide comments on the effectiveness of the various top candlestick gurus - ie pristine, steven bigalow and steve nison??

My question is pinpointing towards the "effectiveness" of the gurus in providing a better than 50-50 approach towards trading the right hand side of the chart. Instead of the hindsight analysis such as pinpointing a support level a few bars prior where there were reversal patterns..., etc..

TQ and hav a good weekend!!! ;)

  5. Re: req: decisionbar

Indicators that do well in trending markets normally don't do well in range bound market coz of the optimization process.. nonetheless, it does help to understand the market stage (ie accumulation, markup/down, etc) and then apply the suitable indicators type accordingly... cheers! :)

  6. Re: I have a dilemma :)

I would suggest using TA for shorter term trading, and FA for longer term positional trades.. coz structural changes in markets take time to crystalize, hence it would be very difficult to use a long term view to trade the shorter term noises...

Juz explore jim rogers style.. his fundamental calls are really very sound.. ie his call for bullish commoditiies, bearish dollar, which was made years ago.. HOWEVER, he would have lost a lot of $$$ following his analysis years ago coz the markets onli act accordingly recently... :)

  7. Re: I would like to be a futures traders

True, futures exchanges are better regulated compared to the norm forex brokers... nonetheless, i believe the key issue is whether the wannabe trader could adjust to the volatility of the future markets with the key benefits of profiting from both up/down scenarios...

If adjusted well, its truly a paradise coz you can trade constantly to increase your capital on a daily basis.. otherwise, it's the faster way to get out biz if can't follow the futures markets, esp when the spikes come in!! :)
