SHOWBABA1, just wanna give you an update. Thanks for your decompiled version. I have tried to improve the EA using weekend closure, or time filter, but it does not improve too much. I am still studying so far.

Yes, it is martingale, but it is really "managable" martingale.

This EA requires ex4tomq4 v 226.1 to decompile, unfortunately I do not have the right version. It has high potentials even though it is may blow your account by running it 24x5. it should turn on for some period of time (i.e. US trade sessions), and close off during the week-end.

 

For example, if you turn it 24x7 in 2009 EURUSD, early Jun will be a terrible period to blow the account. However, if you run it week by week (meaning, close all position on weekend), it passed Jun with peace.

 

With that, I would expect someone help decompile it, so that we can add some small improvement to make it better.

I have tried to replace the two " ö " by " o ", and indeed it still shows invalid forex sharing link

should it be GridSpace 1<=GridSpace 2<=GridSpace3 <= GridSpace 4 <= GridSpace 5???

the default setup set condition==0, so it is very strict on opening a trade "against" current trend. Estimated to be 2-3 trade per month. If you wanna more trade, set condition to 1 or more.

I am also in the test. Using 6.6, up 10%, but 6.6 has some bugs like after manual closing, position will be open again, so it drops the profit. anyway, I am still in the process of testing it.

exactly as Norman said. I believe BasketBull was originated from T101's idea. some of the code has the basic function following T101, but the trading did not follow.

There is no particular reason why 4H can not be used. It MAY even works better in H4, but no one knows as there's backtest using multipairs, so we are all participating the forward test. It is better some group proceed with 4H, some other proceed with 1D. and compare which is better.

 

Also the preset comes with new version has "intraday" option on. This option has different means. so would need more time to study the effect.

I have walked through the code of the EA and understand why on some broker it wont open trades. Basically there are following bugs in current version

 

1. In some broker the TICKDATA is very weird. For example, in FxSolution, TICKDATA for AUDUSD is 11.xxx, but for EURUSD and GBPUSD is 0.0001

2. The way this EA calculate the PIPS is very strange. it considers minlots and min_lot_mtp in run_statistics_long/short functions, but not the same way as in init function where pip_filters is set.

 

I have revised it a little to fix the two points above, it is now can open orders in my broker.

 

As Norman said, let's wait for the new version to be released, and see if such issue fixed. It is still beta, and I have spotted another 2-3 smaller bugs in the code, unfortunately, not able to sure with the author since I am not able to write Russian.

Hi all, nice to see 4H works out for you. I have been running in 4H timeframe with two account (one 50K demo, one 1K live) for two days. The demo account opens a buy on May 25th, and it is still running with some minor loss. The live has not open anything yet.

 

One thing I am considering is to add some debug message into the EA, so that it shows why it is not opening, let's see if it will workout.

Agree with Norman. It is still early to move it to live unless you have at least 10K in the account for 0.1 lots. My live account has 5K running 0.1 lots, but it and dropped 10% in last two days. The main reason observed is due to 5% stop trigger frequent cut-loss for a 5K account. I have moved live account to 1K with 0.01 lots setup. it is more safe.

Hi Soundfx and Norman, your comments makes a lot sense. I am going to switch to H4 tomorrow. In a ranging market, 1H will cause the frequent trade, and cause unnecessary loss.

 

8 pair is more reasonable than 14 pairs as it is more well balanced.

Today, I have been running it on live account. It opened 5 sessions, small wins and small loss. Overall 1% up.

hi soundfx, you mentioned you loaded the preset file from original Russian package. Does it mean the timeframe should be H4? Currently I was running it in H1, and yesterday and today already have two good basket trade.

This strategy works well only for 2009 till now. backtest before 2009 is terrible

I have spend 4 hours tested and read the codes of all the EA attached. Honestly, all of them are craps... thanks for sharing anyway.

Hi Merlin, I have tried to download your version of MTFeedPro, but it is 1784KB and did not inlcude the Activiation files. I also tried to download two versions from 4share, but it is the same without Activaition files.

 

If you have a working version of MTFeedPro, could you kindly upload again? or simply the Activiation files. Thanks a lot.

DragonEA is not forexDragon. They are totally two different EAS...

The performance of this EA is outstanding in myfxbook. The author used to decide not selling the EA, but provide service via managed account. As the post on bestforexEA (http://bestforexea.com/2010/04/secret-project-reveal-part-1/) , the managed account also runs extremely well with the EA.

 

Now the EA is available for sell. Can anyone help share it? It was request on "REQ" sub section on Dec, but there's no reply yet.
