Hi Freddie, i just realized that the pivot bars in my previous post were actually bars that were created on weekends (look at 1st & 2nd instance of my markings), thats why they are very small in size. Should we consider such bars in our analysis?

Hi Link, I thinkthat I might have over explained.

All I do is look for the point, the pivot.

If the next bar is lower we have a reversal.

If the next one is lower we have an entry.

After all this i just realized that how powerful the candle formations could be.

Though I perceived what you wanted to communicate, I just wanted to be more comfortable with candlesticks formations and various patterns that they form. i want to alleviate my understanding of it. I just grabbed myself a copy of fx4noobs (which I got to know from this discussion only) and some other price action stuff and will try to make a better foundation.

You just did a fantastic favor.

After all this explanation by you, i feel that i know nothing much about candle formations and their relative patterns that they form.

I kinda have feeling of going back to basics again and gain some more ground on candlesticks.

I need to bring myself near to your level if I want to understand what you have tried to explain me.

Do u give any emphasis on the size of the body of the pivot candles?

From the previous examples in this thread, it is just not very clear to me.

The author gave some examples, buy yet gain as you said, word is just not perfect. There happens to be lot many moves but not the way the author have explained in his book as far as the body of the pivot candle is concerned.

I have been reading lots of charts on a daily time frame and what I am experiencing is that not always is the candlestick is of the form of small body and long wicks. More often, either there are no wicks or very very minimal.

Should we consider such candles as candle #1 for spotting a trend reversal, which is very unlike what is explained in "hiddenforexpips" page # 6.

Like as in above post of mine, candle #1 of instances 1 & 2 both have very very small candle with no wicks.

This guy is an all time scammer, doing scan one after the other.

4 last couple of days, my inbox is bombarded with spams under different email IDs, aprox 15-20 mails daily, for his new launch.

old wine, new bottle only.

He's is a jerk, who has blown up his own account many times and need more equity to trade the market. Launching such scams is the only source for him to raise easy money.

Had the lines been drawn correctly, the false +ves could have been prevented.

Note: I have tried to keep the lower trendline parallel to the one above.

You dont want make it as triangle......???!!!

Even I read so in the manual, that the lines should be parallel to each other. But it seems quite difficult sometimes to draw a parallel trendline when you do have lower lows in opposite direction, which resulted in a triangle.

As we are still learning and trying to adapt to this system, we may have to resolve lots of issues/confussions.

I am using psychological level stop loss.

My chart looks exactly the same as Linkrink's. By the way, what are you guys using as a stoploss, or to exit trades?
