Re: batman 2 30 min eur jpy trading method
I like this system quite a lot. I've been playing with it and trying to backtest it manually. My question is what are the differences between the fractals? Correct me if I'm wrong, but it doesn't appear to repaint, so what is the algorithm to give a green vs a blue vs a red fractal?
Anybody else playing with this on other currency pairs?

Re: What is your exit strategy?
I generally have my exit planned prior to entry so that I can work out an estimate of risk/reward. Recently pivot points(weekly) have been generally solid on any day except monday. If things start going against what I had planned, I exit when I see technicals going against me.
My timing has been poor recently, though - working on the discipline in waiting for the trade to come to me.

Re: How Long You've Been in Business?
I have been around for just over a year, and just started a live account. I have found the my interest in forex trading waxes and wanes like an oscillator. Recently I've been really pushing myself to plan trades better on the demo and only trade live when I have a high level of correlation between currencies. This site has been very helpful in helping me begin to understand trader psyc and as an intro to how EAs work.

Re: Accurate Scalper system
I had the some 0.19 problem as the rest of you, but by downloading the 3 indis and dragging the addativersi display onto my chart window, I believe I have the correct number now.
Thanks to all involved in this thread.

Re: How to prevent fatigure or boredom when trading
I have to agree with JoeCocker. Exercise is key. A friend of mine used to have a heavy bag and bowflew type machine in his office and could do a few reps or hit the bag between calls.

Re: The 5 Phases of a Forex Trader
I'd love to know how many traders in terms of percentage actually make it through each stage. I'd be willing to wager that beyond stage 4 in your article would include only the 5-10% of successful traders.

Re: instant forex profit
Its amazing how many people come into Forex thinking "I'll be a buzzillionaire tomorrow!" We've become the new lottery system.
Maybe all those folks marketing forex are having an easier time than those actually trading!

Re: spikecharts for your news trading studies.
thomy: I had to click through to get back to the spikecharts page, but it seems to work now for me on Chrome.
Interesting site, has anyone signed up in order to do historical analysis of news items?

Re: Globalism the death of Forex trading?
The world can't decide on one political system, religion, or even a set of uniform human rights. Why would a uniform currency be acceptable?

Re: All About FXCM
I have a live account with FXCM and I'm going to get out very soon. I traded during NFP last week and closed my position for a 21 pip gain, or so I thought. 2 minutes later, when the position finally closed, it ended up a 5 pip loss. This is doubly frustrating because my SL was at breakeven.
I thought that this was maybe just because of volatility at NFP, but I set a new record today, when my position took 3 minutes to close and slipped another 20pips in the wrong direction.
Even if you are a good trader, you probably aren't good enough to make money when your fills take 2 minutes and slip 20 pips against you.
I'd advise AVOIDING FXCM UK.
