Fx Open not really goood for all scalping system since the EURGBP and EURCHF pairs was in fixed 3 pip spread because the server quite slow for update these pairs and very risky. Sometime the chart updated about 30 minute later for EURCHF 15M !!

I experience this exactly on my eurchf, trading asian session... chart would sometimes not update for 15-30mins !!! while same time alpari was going all over the place..

after 2 weeks, made about 10% on my account (500usd>560usd)... I withdrew my money, I am now waiting for a week, hoping to get my money back.. I also read 50usd fee for wire transfer !!! so no profit for me as the USD also weakend.. this whole joke of theirs cost me money :( X-(

- New option Aggressive : if do you use Aggressive = true, when the logic detect a high probability setup, it double the Lot Size on both MoneyManagement = true and on Fixed Lots too.

Hi guys... I meet very strange and quite scary condition on my Dragonpips demo account

It used to open only 4-6 lot... but suddenly it opens very big size... it opens twice 15.4 lot and hit the stop loss-it wipes out almost 60-70% of my account in those 2 losing trades. I experience it at 3 demo accounts: at Alpari(NZ), Forex.com and FX Clearing. The only survivor is at Tadawul demo.

But in real account that trades was not opened at mini lot, only at micro lot account that open the losing trade and hit SL. I still use v3 july 2009 and the older one - not yet trying QuickSilver's mods.

Do you guys experience the same thing? Is it because of bugs or anything else? However I really thank God that my real account not opening that trades - but quite scared that one day will if this happened becoz of bugs...

Just change EXTERNAL Magic Number value (from 0).

 

The code change the 4 magic numbers internally.

 

You don't need modify the code. Change it form MT4 expert advisor window propeties.

you can run DP on different currencies in the same MT platform.

so not multiple instances of the same currency in 1 mt platform?

If you don't and you need only 1 trade at a time, set MaxTrades = 1

Is it not possible to run mutiple instances at once in metatrader? do you have to run multiple installations of metatrader??

I was doing demo 4 diff settings across 4 seperate windows with the same currency...and it seemed like it wasnt functioning right..

anyone can verify this?

Note: All bugs that was repaired, are present in all the original versions and in all the mods that I could see, too. Therefore, don't use other versions along with this one in the same account.

 

- Bug where, under certain circumstances, it open & close trades within seconds. (FIXED)

 

- Bug where, under certain circumstances, it open trades without SL value. (FIXED)

 

- Bug when MaxTrades = 1 the EA don't open trades. (FIXED)

 

- Optimized trade execution code to ECN/STP Brokers. (for standard Brokers set ECN_STP = false)

 

- Added Error Control module on open and close trades logic.

 

- Added Alert module option.

 

- Added Auto GMT Offset detection. And Manual GMT Offset option, too. Auto GMT Offset detection module use Windows API's to calculations, therefore you must set correctly time zone on Windows properties. (For backtests use GMTOffset_for_Backtests)

 

- Added external options to allow Protection Levels optimization on "Time to close" and "pips to close" for close trades. And optimized "pips to close" value to allow use fractional pips on 5-digits brokers.

If "pips to close" value is negative (ex. -1.0, -3.5, etc.), it close trades on loss and if value is positive (ex. 1, 2.3, etc.) it close trades on profits. If you use "pips to close" value = 0 it close trades on breakeven.

 

- added external option to disable Time Protection Levels code for close trades.

 

- added external option to change Magic Number to avoid Broker detection.

I think this morning, my demo trades is also like that... Running V3 & Extreme Universal together.

v3 universal..

it actually opened 2 buy trades, one is hiding behind the candle.. I actually let both trades go and lost about $13usd.. luckily the other 3 trades made up for it, ending with a 1dollar profit for the night...

also thinking of closing my FXopen account, it doesnt trade as often, and they're chart updates are almost non existent for 10-20 minutes sometimes during trading times X-(

probably gonna transfer it to alpari account, or other broker <):)

Even though I had the bugs, it did still manage the trades luckily by closing them before loosing more money..

some weird trades.. it basicly traded against earlier/later trades..

this "extreme edition" is the SAME EXACT version as the one previously posted (v4 Dragonpips_v042009.ex4), just with some pre-set settings to get the results posted on his website....

This EE version is a hardcoded-down version of the original Dragon_v3_universal_sl (posted somewhere in this forum), with some parameters no longer externalised, but instead hardcoded inside the EA.

 

You can ask the original Dragon_v3_universal_sl to behave like EE with the following settings:

 

Spread = 5.0

TakeProfit = 6

StopLoss = 32

 

MaxTrades is still in the EE version, it is just no longer externalised. Another difference is the ATR threshold (20pips in v3, 15pips in EE).

I think it is, only difference is that Dragonpips has taken this and continued to improve this EA with their regular updates, also would love to try the Extreme edition

 

Caspian Ea I have heard is also excellent and very similar to how Dragonpips trades but cant find anyone yet that has this to share

Caspian EA is a copy of dragonpips.. I've compared statements of them both last night.. exactly same trades, at same times..

I have found something very interesting :) here a post from Fxopen by giovaldo just thought it would be interesting the the public..

 

By the way the reason dragonpips does not work with ecn brokers is because it uses op_buy/op_sell as a command to initiate orders, which is a non existent command for ECN, apparently it would only fill a stop/limit for its market orders to be filled. I am going to work on the code tonight try to make it function.
