I used stochs as my oscillating indicator of choice in the past, but only to see what everyone else was doing, not basing my trades on it, but basing my trades on how other people used it. These were only ever looked at as a support to true price action and never traded from.

The only indicators that I look at now on a regular basis are Pivots , a market profile indicator, an average range indicator. All of them are based on price and price action and could be said to be PROBABILITY indicators.

Re: Why Not to Trade MA Crossovers..

I think that the people who are making money with MA's are probably using good money management.

There is no doubt that sometimes a MA system will catch a big trend and everybody is happy, but in my experience there is just too much chop in between, only MM will see you though that. To use MA's successfully you need to also be aware of support & resistance. Why bother with the MA stuff (and indicators in general), just look at support & resistance and use good MM. As I am still learning, I need to eliminate what is not working, even if everybody else was going in a different direction.

Sound like another variation of Dr. Zain Agha ZTL method ( I think it's shared in

this forum) which make use of London session. However I personally believe

ZTL method is not so profitable anymore due to the system already known to most

brokers and they probably find a way to beat it.

I am using M5 scalping however I only consider trades when price move in

the same direction as in H1 and D1. I might miss some trades, but it's much

safer to me.
