we loss, but thats not the MDP problem. i think it is our problem that dont know which pairs is good for trade and which setting for each par. considering this issue i did a very complete backtest and analyze for 10 pairs in 2 modes of aggressive and conservative. here is the result:

Search a few post back saying you where using mdp v1.1 bbrain. I downloaded that version (well i think i did), but i cannot find the logic setting, so probably the wrong one. :-?

Hi nimaparham, which broker are you using o live account (I think your results are the best so far)?

 

my broker is PFGbest (ECN). I think ATC is better. could you please test ATC with gmtoffset= -4?

I've never used usdcad logic 2. but logic 1 performed ok for me. about gmtoffset it is not -1. you should find what autogmtoffset shows. then deduct 1 and set for manual gmt. for example if autogmt shows +5 use +4 manulay.

Yes. my setting is base on backtest (not optimization) since 01/01/2009 with several brokers. pfgbest, alpari, prime4x, fxopen, atc broker, tadawul fx and fibo group. i backtested with 2 different gmtoffset setting (default and -1). for all brokers -1 setting was much better. my statement clearly shows my setting was ok, because i had 91 trades and only 5 loss(only 1 SL), while others complained about several SL.

my loss from august 18th:

eurchf: -16.9 pips

eurchf: -3.4 pips

eurgbp: -7.3 pips

gbpusd: -64.5 pips (the only trade that hit SL)

eurgbp(today): -14 pips

now i am in profit +336.6 pips

i conclude the real results confirm the backtest results.

@nicholasmead : your backtest are vert interesting ! On which broker do you have backtested ? For Alpari UK (GMT + 2), what's the rights settings hours if I want make a backtest ?

What is tour version of Megadroid ?

 

@nimaparham : what's your 10 pairs with Logic ? Do you have agressive mode on true ?

I used these pairs plus the pairs i mentioned before from mid august till few days ago that I decided to trade just the other 4 pairs. aggressive has been always true and will be true for me.

override trade time: off

the way i calculate the gmtoffset: first turn autogmtoffset on and see which number the EA calculates automatically. the add -1 to that number.

for example:

Autogmtoffset : +3 then manual gmtoffset is (+3)+(-1)=+2

Autogmtoffset : -4 then manual gmtoffset is (-4)+(-1)=-5

I suggested this method to some friends with different brokers and all of the are successful using mdp.

I used this gmtoffset calculation since August 18th and i just had one SL using all 10 pairs frequently.

There must be something about brokers,I cant share my statement, but I didnt have even 1 s/l this week and I have 1 demo MIG,1 demo Eurkaforex,1 demo Prime4x and 1 Real Prime4x all 4 pairs + USDCAD and GBPUSD

So do I, I didn't have any SL during the last Month, since August 15th till now. I just had 2 loss with EurGbp. one 18 pips and the the other one 15 pips. I'm absolutely satisfied with performance. My broker is PFGbest (ECN, NFA regulated, one of the best well capital brokers out there). check my statement with following link:

I use maxspreade = 5 for usdcad/gbpusd and 4 for usdjpy/eurjpy/eurgbp. do not use eurchf/eurcad/gbpchf anymore.

Todays trades on TDFX (live, demo) and ATC brokers (GMT-4) demo. EUR/GBP hit S/L on all three accounts. I'm not exeriencing many reqoutes (maybe 1 every day) on TDFX live account for now but I'm trading only 0.1 standard lot per trade so with bigger lot sizes number of requotes could risen. After this hits I'm very close to break even on live account (I'm hoping this losing trend will reverse soon). Much too early to say anything but ATC won this day. Let's see how it continous.

BTW I think we shouldn't trade with jpy pairs tonight (high impact news - Bank of Japan press conference).

It's very good you are testing ATC Broker, I'm gonna open an account with them next month. i think they are one of the best.

Hi, I use GMT+1 (manual), authors recomendation is GMT+2 but I find it less risky at +1 at the moment (hardly any loss). I'm 70% up on my demo account in three months (starting balance 3000$), trading 0.1 standard lot. I wish live account would work so well :-??

you are right. GMToffset is +1 not +2,,I asked their customer support and they confirmed its +1.

Todays trades on TDFX demo +115pips, but more importantly something strange happened on my live account. While demo was trading Ok (see bellow) I got this massage on ea info panel on live chart "trying to connect to broker..." and EA didn't make a single trade. When I restarted MT4 it imediately opened trade (at 1.30am???) and it was a looser (close it manualy at -7pips, but it would hit 60pip SL if I let it run). Do you think broker is playing trix on me?

Based on my experience, MDPro_v101ee_bbr_v11.mq4 works perfect for me.

PFGbest is my broker and so far so good. I cannot say its the best out there.

you can start with 500 USD initial balance

as long as EA uses money management, the lot size depends on your balance and risk level which can be set by urself

max TP is about 15 pip per trade.

you can expect about 20 pips, depends on how many pairs u use

you should not close it manually :-?? my MDPro finally closed it today morning with +1 pip.... I bet you had scared about 90pips SL and closed it manually ;)

IMO, GBPUSD with 4 logic is one of the safest pair to trade with MDPro
